I’m not sure about league 1, I couldn’t see Bromley surviving in the French top flight 🤣
 
Just been checking our players registered for the Europa League and (I know he's not fully fit yet) but our captain, Henderson, isn't included - just Benitez, Matthews and several youngsters.

I haven't listed the Academy players - far too many.

Never noticed but you can change the squad after the group stages I think . We're 3 players down because of eufa squad rules , so only going with 2 goalies to allow more outfield players

I think he is allowed to be temporarily out because he has a long term, 30+ days, injury and can play when he is fit again as long as they register him by midnight before a match he will feature in.

Yes, I’ve found out that there has been a UEFA directive that has allowed goalkeepers who are injured for 30+ days to be replaced.

It’s in paragraph 31.14 of the competition regulations.

Last season this was extended to cover outfield players who are injured for more than 60 days.

Seems like they sent an email to info@cpfc.co.uk, so we were able to act on this.
 
Lyon.........a bunch of soap-dodging cheese-eating surrender monkeys. But apart from that, what's there not to like about them ? i heard there were even a few days last year when the whole city didnt go on Strike.

We will get every manner of cheating from them.

Thanks. I was confused as to why Sage said he wasn't fit to start when he wasn't in the registered squad.
 
The decision to leave Lerma out of the Europa squad is now looking like a significant error of judgement. I thought it was strange at the time, given his versatility, although there were rumours he was unsettled.

It'll be interesting to see how Sage approaches this game and whether he looks to make any unforced changes. I think he'll probably try and ride the momentum of Sunday's win, with perhaps just Disasi coming in for Lerma, but we do have options, so who knows. It's a shame Tomiyashu is already injured, as he looked really assured and composed in the central role at the back.

I'm going to go for a 1-1.

Who would you have Lerma replace? I don't see him as versatile anymore. His midfield play is increasingly suspect and he functions now as a reserve CB.

Surely the whole point of playing a match is to score and win the the game…so if you think we should bring Sarr on if we need a goal, why not start him? )
