I really hope we get to see what he can do whilst Munoz is still out.

But I have to agree with them - recalling him the day before a game is pretty bad form. Could it have waited til Sunday - he's hardly going to play vs Sunderland, is he?

Totally devastated. He's been a star player for us. Not sure he is Prem ready though. Needs to work on his defensive side. Philogene (Ipswich) gave him a tough time in the cup on Sat.

As you can see from the earlier posts, we're surprised the club has done this now rather than wait a few days. I had the privilege of watching Danny in his first ever home game in our Academy - he hit the ground running and but for a serious injury following a nasty tackle would have been more advanced than he is. He's always been good going forward but like you say, he still needs to improve his defensive skills but that will only come with playing against the top players.

It's the downside of taking loan players. The parent club decides what in their best interests which often isn't in the other club's.

It will be typical of Palace if we now don't use him.

Hopefully we'll use him, and not waste the recall, which will suit no one. I can only think that we've recalled him now as our best alternative to the currently injured Munoz, who like Imray, is more attacking than defensive minded, and has his defensive limitations also.
 
The fact this has seemingly come out of nowhere at the eleventh hour suggests to me he'll go straight into the squad for tomorrow. He might even start. Maybe we have even more injuries? I guess we'll learn more during the press conference.
