Liverpool Predictions.

Avoiding defeat in this one would be a major statement.

Hopefully Sarr will return.

I think we'll get something out of this. That being said Slot has plenty of ammo to get his team prepared. The Guehi situation is part of it. We are also the last team to beat Liverpool (community shield) and the last team to take points off them in the Premier League.

The fact that Liverpool have a midweek fixture, but resting key players speaks volumes. They are taking the league very seriously.

It is going to be an incredibly difficult game - that have won all 5 of their matches….

That said, my prediction is 1-0 Palace - JP on the scoresheet

They score most of their goals in the last 10 minutes. So there's the plan, nick one and shut up shop. One of my favourite Palace goals was Olise's a couple of years ago, something that makes them go wow please.

Personally, I don't think either team has been at its best, so it'll be interesting to see how this one pans out. Can Liverpool keep having things go their way? Will they keep getting extended injury time to help them get results?

I'm going for a recreation of one of our previous SP victories over the pool, but rather than Grobelaar fumbling an Eric Young header for a 1-0 win, I'm going for an Allisson howler with Guehi the scorer.

Oh yes….the media would love for Guehi to score the winner!! The sports pages would be full of this story!

And the headlines would read…..

In all fairness, they also do that with the ECL, unless playing one of the Continent's heavyweights.

Liverpool haven't played that well but still managed 5 wins, albeit relying on their VAR buddies to dig them out of the odd hole. That either means that; They're gonna click soon and blow someone away, or They're VAR luck(!) will run out and will actually lose a game.

I would love it to be us to hand them their first defeat of the season, but they'll want to right the wrong of the community shield, and end our unbeaten run..

tough game awaits, but one we can win 2-1.

I fear that our unbeaten run will come to an end.
I am a bird on the same twig, Willo (now, where have I read that piece of poetry before?)

My worry is, for all our string of unbeaten matches, we are struggling to score - noticeably at home - see Forest, Sunderland and Millwall. So, unless we start converting our chances our unbeaten record will be in jeopardy. The days of Olise and Eze are sadly gone - remember the multi-move goal at Anfield 3 seasons back - poetry in motion and a 'wow' from Klopp.

I do hope I am wrong but am still seeking revenge for our 9-1 drubbing all those years ago - the one where we missed a penalty. The 4-3 semi final win and the glorious comeback 3-3 at Selhurst are not adequate compensation (still being re-run on Sky occasionally.

After Saturday the international break looms, praise be all our players return uninjured.

Don't remember us scoring!🙂

I assume you mean after next Saturday, when we play Everton. We also have the small matter of Dynamo Kyiv in between as well.

As for Liverpool, I would be more than happy with a draw and keeping our unbeaten run going.
