Last night I watched the first two installments of Live Aid - 40 Years On.
It was well produced by the Beeb and Geldof talked in his usual eloquent style about how he started the ball rolling and then how he fought hard to raise millions of pounds to help relief for the famine in Ethiopia. Geldof's efforts clearly saved millions of lives.
It's on the iPlayer and I thoroughly recommend watching it as a reminder of the mammoth exercise the whole thing was, from the single 45 to a multi country satellite rock show. Some good, but too brief, examples of the music too. It'd be good to know if any HOLers actually went to the concert.
