He is as guilty as hell. A good indication of this is that Steeleye thinks he is innocent.
Reason they never made it to the first case is that the legal team, for some reason known to the, chose not to call them. That is their decision but given the nature of the technical evidence against her I would have demanded that be tested. It would be interesting to go over the Bamber and Letby case in the light of new investigation techniques.
Bamber would be a cold case, but I gather all his Rights of Appeal have been exhausted.
Letby is more that experts have different views, which happens all the time. Why these new experts never made it to the first trial is slightly perplexing. And it takes a particular kind of expert to state absolutely there can be no dispute in the evidence and that someone is 100% guilty of murder.
Because , as a scientist/professional, you always know there's room for doubt. It's just whether that doubt is reasonable , or can be dismissed.
Wasn’t it starring Stephan Graham and Mark Addy as coppers? There was an excellent TV dramatisation of the murders and the enquiry- I remember some of the investigating officers were made to look pretty poor.
Then again it was a long time ago and the forensic tools available now are in a different league.
Wasn’t it starring Stephan Graham and Mark Addy as coppers?
Letby was a scapegoat for a s*** hospital, and the fact labour are tearing down the NHS might actually answer a lot of questions. Too much arse covering for bad performance.Another interesting twist, surely now an unsafe conviction defence will take place

Guilt or innocence isn’t at question. If it’s unsafe is the question in this article. The law as we are told by some on here doesnt make mistakes. Well it may have !!!100% Gulity. Nothing new in any of this and it is just remarkable that people are taken in by it.
Only a few weeks ago the families of Letby’s victims moved to counter this nonsense and issued a full rebuke via their solicitors. I have posted the Daily Mail link below as The Telegraph and The Times articles reporting the same thing are both behind paywalls or subscriptions.

Families of babies murdered by Lucy Letby rally to debunk claims
The families of babies murdered by Lucy Letby have rallied to debunk claims that the child killer is innocent and accused her of trying to 'defect attention' from the heinous crimes.www.dailymail.co.uk
It’s the usual rubbish that follows high profile trials. There is ALWAYS someone willing to run a counter argument that they ‘got it wrong’ and the conviction is unsafe. It’s not, this is nothing new and they’ve not presented anything that changes the guilty verdicts on all counts. I take it you read the statement from the families solicitors issued in response to this?Guilt or innocence isn’t at question. If it’s unsafe is the question in this article. The law as we are told by some on here doesnt make mistakes. Well it may have !!!
Or Letby took advantage of the poor performanceLetby was a scapegoat for a s*** hospital, and the fact labour are tearing down the NHS might actually answer a lot of questions. Too much arse covering for bad performance.
I think it probably should have, at very least a retrial. Simply as there has obviously been gross failings within the hospital. Scapegoat? I don’t know but in the name of justice a retrial.Three former senior staff at the hospital where nurse Lucy Letby murdered seven babies and attempted to kill seven others have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
All three suspects worked on the senior leadership team at the Countess of Chester Hospital between 2015 and 2016 and were bailed after being questioned on Monday.
The arrests came after an investigation into potential corporate manslaughter at the hospital was opened in 2023, and then widened in March this year to include gross negligence manslaughter.
Cheshire Police said the case does not have any impact on Letby's 2023 convictions for murder and attempted murder. (BBC website)
There has always been something suspicious about this case. We are seeing, every day almost, another scandal regarding the NHS. Maternity services fail in in many parts of the country etc. The evidence needs to be tested again.I think it probably should have, at very least a retrial. Simply as there has obviously been gross failings within the hospital. Scapegoat? I don’t know but in the name of justice a retrial.
Safe as houses in a tornado maybe. The statisticians make a compelling case and her defence team was ineptThis has NOTHNG to do with Letby’s convictions, all of which are as safe as houses. This is to do with the fact that more could have and should’ve been done to stop Letby sooner.
The Hospitals trust / executives were negligent in their handling of this whole thing. Deaths could have been prevented by dealing with Letby sooner and this is the thrust of this enquiry.
Her defence team didn't want to get cancelled more like !!!Safe as houses in a tornado maybe. The statisticians make a compelling case and her defence team was inept
My own opinion, based on only what i read.
Her conviction was based on a statistical probability, no hard/scientific evidence. Apart from the notes she wrote to herself.
She might be guilty, but my own thoughts were that the conviction was unsafe, being reliant so heavily on statistical probability.
This potential review might expose a few deficiencies in the way the trial was conducted. too early to say if she's innocent,....but she might well be.
'Lucy Letby is innocent'.
Is that too fantastic to be true?
15 whole life sentences, yet not one witness has said they actually saw her in the act.
After she has died in prison with the first whole life sentence, how will she serve the other 14? Ridiculous.
Uneasy, still feel it is unsafe.
