Leicester City v Crystal Palace match thread

Don't you have flu vaccines in the UK? I would have thought that it would be mandatory for players to take them, if available
The flu vaccine only covers certain variants of the flu. They have to manufacture it in advance so they predict which is the most likely strain to be prevalent and have the worst effects on vulnerable people. That still means you can get another flu strain and be ill

IMO, Vardy to Leicester was the bargain move of the last decade. Wish we'd have taken the chance on him (as probably do most fans of other PL clubs).
Every season that were in the same league as Leicester I try to convince myself that will be the season that Vardy will lose pace & become a shadow of his former self / drift off into the sunset-

Well he is 38 now so hopefully it will be the last we see of him, especially if Leicester get relegated - (unless of course its in one of the cups)

It must cost a few bob to keep his missus happy (and her legal bills paid) so he'll probably be trundling out for somebody when he's 60.

Couldn't see the whole game as I was concurrently involved in an inter-pub bar billiards match, but two takeaways - apparently Kamada's 20 minutes or so was much more like we've been hoping for, and it seems clear Ollie tore them off a right strip at half-time, I'm really becoming a big fan of OG, we never have tepid performances where players hide under him and we've seen plenty of those down the years, he won't have it - we can still be a bit Hodgkinesque at times (like at Bournemouth) but we always play, he demands the team show its true form.

I was disappointed with Leicester, I expected better of them.
The appointment of Van Nistelrooy has not brought about an improvement in results. They were 16th when he took up the 'Reins', they are now 19th and under him they have been defeated in 6 out of 8 PL games.

Disappointed? I was delighted.

And I noticed that yet again Willo you called the result wrong in predictions, favouring the opposition for 3 points. With your knowledge, it beats me why you keep calling it wrong.

What I really enjoyed from this game apart from the result was OG’s post match interview. He was very honest about the slow start to the game, didn’t make excuses and was clear the performance wasn’t good. He also praised moments but was clear where we need to improve. I was very skeptical of OG at the start of the season but it was a clear straight forward view from him that was impressive

He is refreshingly honest and if I am allowed to use the phrase in this woke-age, he not averse to calling a spade a spade.
