Leeds Predictions.

I think that’s the long and short of it, sage is still weighing everyone up and slowly discovering who he can trust, who’s up for the fight and what his best team is
I understand these sentiments and should we be defeated (But not embarrassed) tomorrow, Sage will be given some latitude by supporters.
The narrative and 'Mood music' will change if we succumb to a defeat tomorrow followed by defeats against Nottm Forest and Brighton.

I'm going to be positive and assume we finally have a PL match where the defence ties together well. I'm not that worried about Disasi being out as he's not convinced me of his worth yet. I'd seriously consider giving Lerma a go for his aerial ability.

We've already found our creative feet. Attacking-wise, the system is working and we have JSL and Pino proving the critics dead wrong. Think we'll get something. Either a 1-2 win or a 2-2 draw.

Be nice if Sarr starts to pay back the debt he owes for his behaviour and for someone like Osario to step up. McNeil's already shown he will contribute and Timber has been superb, like a slightly creatively limited version of Andy Gray.

Goals for both sides, my hope is we can get a draw but I see us losing before a timely international break
I have two predictions:
  1. It won't be 0-0
  2. Both teams will score
I await tomorrow's evening post saying. "those two predictions lasted well".

I suspect Leeds may score more than us but like you, I think a draw may be a possibility. I would consider that a good result.

I also believe that a share of the spoils would be a creditable result.
A win for us might encourage me to remove my shirt on Brighton pier and wave it in the air with glee and gusto !!!!

Leeds 4 Palace 0, if we are lucky, early goal from them and it could be embarrassing, lets hope not.

Determining what your best team is doesn't mean a lot as they won't play much together. Palace's most settled side started together on just six occasions last season: and that is more common than usual. Sometimes three times in a season is the peak

Yes but I think when everyone’s fit, we knew what our best team was under Glasner, it picked itself, and any manager no matter what quality or size of squad will have his best side in his mind when available
Obviously it’s a squad game these days, with more games needing rotation, but I think with our new signings, although good to get a few bodies in after glasner flogging the same players last season, some of them are clearly only going to be used as back up and won’t feature much, basically when we’re desperate because of injuries or first choice need resting or being thrown on as second half subs

Too early in our development to get anything up there. Give it another half a dozen games and we’ll be competitive in fixtures like this. 3-1 loss.
If it takes 6 more games for us to be competitive in fixtures against a good but still mid table (over the course of a season) side then we really are stuffed. We don’t have 6 games to do that otherwise we will be adrift at the foot of the table.

Thank god for Spurs 🤣 🤣 🤣

Interestingly though, last season Aston Villa lost four and drew two in their opening 6 fixtures, scoring only one goal in the process. They went onto finish 4th and won the Europa League.
