Labour Party politics

Declared but they are all at it! Wonder what these “donors” get out of it

Now now now. Burnham has declared his freebies so that's all right then.

I've said this many times the rules around gifts / donations and MPs expenses are deliberately opaque as all parties are keen on the gravy train. Only an idiot gets found guilty.

If Farage has broken the rules he has only himself to blame.

And if he hasn't he is no different from the rest.

People have lurched to popularism for a whole variety of reasons, but one of them is a change from the established parties.

Oh well, there's always Bin Face.

What darling Keir? Surely not. Funny how none of this was mentioned before he was kicked out. The bastion of equality and free speech 🤣

Felt like she was being recorded all the time.
Get with the game love, it’s normal for all of us and you never said a thing!

Same old same old.

Woking from home is productive and great for the environment so businesses should stop complaining.

There are exceptions though where a simple video call just wont get the job done (said every politician who loved their travel perks).

Rotten and in need of urgent reform.

I worked in local government years back. I couldn't even let someone buy me a coffee when on work business.

The difference with these cases and farage I suppose is that Burnham did not advocate for the donors while in office, but Farage was paid to advocate for his.

Btw the Mail again. Impartial?

Of course not, it doesn't mean it's not true. Stop shooting the messenger unless you know that it is factually incorrect. I read the mail because it is one of the few papers you can read for free online. The rest are all paywall so not much choice.

I thought I made it clear it's not just Labour. There were plenty of Air Miles Tories back in the day. Snouts* in the trough do as we say not do as we do.

*And by the size of her she's not denying herself.

The Lamster hasn't lost his touch.

He could not be trusted to replace a light bulb. No f***ing way. The guy is a walking fool. Talk about failing upwards. This guy is tumbling headlong towards the pinnacle somehow. If education wasn't quite as bad as it is, he'd be Britain's dumbest person. As it is, he's only a contender. What an idiot.

Yep. If brains were dynamite he couldn't blow his hat off.

Behind a paywall but the headline is all you really need.

Surprise surprise, as I have mentioned before Labour and the Tories are only whining about Farage's £5m* because it wasn't them.

Now is seems Burnham is not going to stop large donations after all in case it impacts Labour. Fine for me but not for thee. The whole thing around donations and expenses stinks.
