Labour Party politics

Not exclusive to Labour but confirms what many of us suspected.

I don't blame GP's for signing people off even if they suspect they are pulling a sickie.

It's the same with foodbanks. You have to be referred but what GP / Faith leader is going to say you don't need it you scrounger.

There has to be a better way.

So the phone of the Chief of Staff, one of the top three non-elected political jobs in the country, is stolen in the street, which the Cos is texting, meaning it is unlocked and we just meant to believe the police do not investigate?

My phone gets stolen in similar circumstances, then yes, I get why the police just give you a crime number and tell you to jog on.

Your phone gets stolen in similar circumstances? Then see above.

But the Chief of Staff? No. Not in a million years. At the very least, the local old bill get involved. If not SO15. And MI5. Beyond belief.

And not even going to give the 'lost messages' bit even a single bit of credence. They truly take us for morons.

This is just corruption of the highest order and again - is the Government treating us like fools.
We all know why it got "stolen".
It is pathetic and on top of that the BBC are not reporting it as it is an inconvenient truth.
I despise Starmer & Co more that I can ever express on here.

Networks keep a log of all the messages and calls for a minimum for six months. Usually a lot longer.
Have their servers been stolen too?

And we could always ask the Chinese/Russians/Americans or Israelis for a recording of all of the conversations and all the messages.

Don't you? I do, it is disgraceful if doctors are collaborating in benefit fraud.

All of which is a genuine WTF?

And surely when he gets the new phone, he must have disclosed the details about the original one being stolen which in turn should have triggered a full on investigation?

I get why people bang on about Ukrainian rent boys and so on bringing down Starmer but this is an actual smoking f***ing gun moment.

Because this is now clearly very very wrong.

do you have any idea how much threats/intimidation/ anti social behaviour the average GP must endure in a typical week ? often from junkies, scumbags or criminal types.
I would be reluctant to judge GP's by the standards of a typical bureaucrat sitting in a safe comfy office.

OK, so we should just give in to threats, intimidation and anti social behaviour? Also, the majority that are trying it on will not pose a threat.

What did voters expect ?
This is the usual Labour sh*tshow and we’re not even half way through their term yet.

I agree. My female friend is a GP you are alone in an office with a patient who may become aggressive or threatening if they don't get what they want. On many occasions she has been scared because she refused to prescribe antibiotics for a simple cold.

The current system doesn't work and I don't blame GPs for ducking the issue. Suppose a patient goes to the surgery and say I am depressed and the GP refuses to put them on the sick. The patient then kills themselves. They will get pelters from the media, politicians and probably the medical council. It's not worth the risk.

They need to change the process and maybe have specialist doctors employed by the benefits people.

GP's are often intimidated by junkies, longterm unemployed criminal types, or religious loons who wield a heavy threat of a collective sanction against the doctor.

'sign this bit of paper, or else'...........its an ethical minefield.

If seriously threatened, agree with them on the day and give them whatever. Once they have left, report them to the police, report to the relevant people that any sick note etc is invalid and remove the patient from their list of patients.
