Labour Party politics

interesting posts by Stirling, with the youtube clips. We can see extremism in most political groupings, and to see it in the compassionate left is almost a surprise, but not unexpected. I've had personal experience of dealing with moralistic Labour activists, who blatantly discriminated against people in an arbitrary (underhand) fashion. That was shocking to me, but apparently it's quite widespread. And the reporter was kind of looking for a response from some nutters,...which he got. A high proportion of leftist nutters were always going to attend an event like that in the UK

The other point , which was almost amusing, was the comparison with attitudes towards Mandelson's behaviour (He's worth the gamble, the Epstein stuff might not come out) to the guy who made the email comment quite a few years ago in relation to a proposed scenario of Diane Abbott and a dildo.

It makes the TV series "Yes (Prime) Minister" look very dated and almost timid in comparison to real events.

Politicians are typically selfish and only concerned with their own wealth, and protecting their position.
You can see the Labour ship is taking in a lot of water. Unfortunately, the lifeboats to Reform seem to have largely been taken by Tory MP's who's own ship is also holed just above the water line.

The Government failing, of it's own making. And the viable opposition is Reform. Times are, indeed, a changing. (nod to Bob Dylan) 🙂

Shabana Mahmood states that obstructing removals to France is “ intolerable “ . Was it not that when Labour obstructed all attempts to remove? What is the difference? I suspect Labour are happy for removals not to go ahead

At the risk being both tedious and overly conspiratorial (plus ça change?) Mandelson's close friendship to Epstein was public knowledge. This was no closely guarded secret. Absolutely out there in the public domain, The notion that Starmer and co did not know is even more insane than the theories running through my head (that Starmer see's himself being pushed out the door by Blair and is ridding himself of people loyal to the Dark Lord, allied with surrounding himself in Cabinet by newly elected MP's whom he deems loyal to him and him alone).

To think that Mandlesons relationship with Epstein, and all the attendent baggage that goes with that, was NOT factored in prior to him being appointed as the Ambassador to the US just beggers belief.

So now, these emails, can only be seen as the excuse to hide behind rather than the real reasons.

Ffs, this is obviously nothing to do with football, this is anti-Israeli. “ no room in Aston or Birmingham for thugs” 🤣 it’s full of them, as us at Palace know.
The problems in Amsterdam were most definitely not all caused by Israelis and that is a fact
This sort of rhetoric helps noone, perhaps UEFA should award the 3 points to Maccabi.
No children in Gaza? I thought we saw daily images of children queuing for food?

Keep sport out of politics.

A Russian ballet company used to tour the UK annually until the Ukraine war and somebody put their foot down (so to speak). All those people want to do is dance, footballers just want to kick a ball.

Ever since the successful anti Apartheid boycotts it's the sport people who suffer. Perhaps we should have some quid pro quo from the politicians. You want to ban a sporting event fine then you forgo your salary for a year and see how you like it.

Oh dear!

She will probably be back again in the Spring!
