Labour Party politics

A singularly revisionist and partial re-telling of history.

You clearly forget (a fact the Tories have spent years seeking to smother) that the Conservative Parliamentary Party was - along with the majority of educated Brits - vociferously Remain, including her. That was her Poison Chalice.

To have done what you suggest would have required culling the intelligent members of her party and replacing them with the seriously dumb ERG types - an act that would have certainly led to a rapid decline in administration, economy etc. May would not commit to such an act of such obvious vandalism. It would have represented a clear breach of her duty. But guess what happened next?

To claim Boris ever did the "right" thing..!
Err, what are you on about.

The single defining issue of May's government was trying to get the Brexit bill passed. Time after time she called a vote in parliament and lost partly because her own backbenchers voted against it. We were at stalemate which is what the rebel Tories wanted and she was unable to find a solution.

Johnson again tried to pass it but finally realised the only way to do it was to call an election whilst ejecting the rebels from his own party.

May failed to get Brexit through because she didn't have the balls to do what Johnson finally did. I don't call that good leadership or putting the country first.

Another one out through the revolving door.

So eight years ago this bloke and others in the Labour party played snog marry or avoid. Who the hell keeps posts like that anyway.

I can only assume that somebody had it in for this guy and before anyone says the Daily Mail, who gave them the posts?

What a thing to get fired over.

So petty, so modern politics.
