I think it's called being a scammer and a spoofer. Openly scamming everyone for some time now. But not at all problematic, apparently. Needs to be promoted? Pretty much tells us all we need to know about government. If we didn't already know.

Regardless the argument that the other lot are just as bad is weak sauce indeed.

I thought the left came in claiming they were better.

Something about the grown ups now being in charge.

I'm afraid the last couple of posts just about sum up politics in this country.

"My party is better than yours because they aren't quite as corrupt as yours."

Cue argument about how do you define corruption is it by the amount they steal or how many of them are doing it. Says it all really.

Regardless of the corruption argument they are ALL s*** at running the country and solving the problems people really care about. Burnham will be no better or worse than the others.

The suppliers are only going to hike their prices. So the shareholders win,....again.

It's an often made complaint but it's stunning just how low the quality of elites are in Britain considering that we once ruled and ran the biggest empire by landmass that ever existed without computers with far greater efficiency and staff numbers than today. The universities produced quality and had ruthless methods to ensure it.

Today, considering how much these people are paid and the status they get the fall in quality is immense.

They've gone up, but they're set by the regulator. I think about 40% is energy the rest is transmission, covering the cost of the suppliers that went bust.

It's far far far too much I know that.....Set by the regulator?

If so then they are the amongst the highest prices in the world....unacceptable.

Net zero accounts for around 11-25% of a typical bill.

We are in an energy crises because of the failure of past elites....really from Thatcher's era onwards to invest in nuclear like the French did......They built when costs were far lower and our current future plant building plans are so much more expensive.

Complete rip off.
