I keep wondering why we are willing to pay this kind of money for JSL but I'm told he is seen as a perfect fit for Palace's system and has aspects of his game that are better than Mateta. Despite the only 1 goal this season everyone that knows this lads game tells me he is a way better and more clinical finisher for a start!

You could tell early that Nketiah wasnt going to work out. The same applies here.

I look at it as we are paying £10m for him plus (hopefully) £5m in add on's as we are getting £35m for that other striker.

Jsl is a few years younger, scored the same amount of prem goals last year and is considered a good enouth player for newcastle to bid even more than we have.

On what basis are you concluding Johnson will be useless? Can’t be based on his performances in the prem where he’s been very effective before joining us. Scored 11 goals last season.

Hasn’t got going with us but has joined in difficult circumstances. Let’s give him a chance!

I also think we might have been speaking to an incoming manager already (same as what I believe we did with Glasner). It might explain why would be potentially spending so much on JSL (when we've already signed Guessand)

The more I think about the more I believe Larsen might be very good for us. He seems excellent in the air and has the ability to direct headers to the side of the keeper not just in a general direction like most forwards do these days. The same goes for his shots.

42.5m with no add ons seems a very fair price to all concerned. Wolves can whistle dickie if the greedy buggers want more.

If we do buy JSL you’d like to think we have a plan with a new manager. If not Guessand on loan is a good way to hedge your bets imo.

The fact that Larson is prepared to be included in the wolves squad today when our current no.9 is “not in the right place” to be included in ours already makes him a better option for me!!
