Jørgen Strand Larsen

Its all a haggle and prices are inflated in January. Its like when you want to move house and the house you want wont budge from their asking price means you wont, if they cut theirs by 5k you may too. Probably the same here, if we sell JPM for 40m we happy to buy for 45m etc. Its never simple and every club below the top 4 has the same merrygoround, you only have to look at other clubs forums/fans to see similar comments to the ones here about their transfer activity. We are not unique.

I'm wondering if we made some tentative inquiries as an option for Larsen to be a replacement for Mateta, but fell short of actually making a bid
Somebody has leaked our interest and made it seem that the move was further advanced than it was (to up the price/agent's fee?).
We now seem to be distancing ourselves.

I heard Forest are trying to dick Palace around with below valuation offers thinking we are desperate to sell JPM now that JSL is coming in. We have apparently turned down 2 offers from Forest already.
Palace said to be aware of how many clubs are interested in JPM, all of them bigger than Forest so they are comfortable keeping both until the summer and selling him then. Unless Forest pay what Palace want.
The only risk with that is if JPM's form does not improve interest in him will drop off a cliff
Well, the only way Mateta will improve is if he plays which unless there is a big change in system would mean Larsen is a sub (as he has recently has been for Wolves) . With Sarr likely to be preferred to Johnson if Pino starts playing better, we could end up spending 80m on two bench players

Apparently we’ve had an issue with “some intermediaries” involvement in the deal.
That’s the second time over the last couple of days that I’ve heard of “intermediaries” muddying the waters on one of our deals.

If ever there was an area of football that the new Football Regulator needs to unpick it’s the current process where agents and intermediaries line their pockets for doing sweet Fanny Adams!

I usually can't stand the 'intermediaries' but in this case I'm extremely grateful for them if it means the deal has collapsed. Everyone was laughing at the fee including Wolves fans.
