Jørgen Strand Larsen

He was waffling on yesterday about he’d rather have mateta up front missing the chances than strand Larsen not getting the chances.🤪
it’s obviously not occurred to JFH that he wasn’t getting the chances because he was at wolves who have had an awful season

We wrote off Mateta - he came good. Then went sh1t again.
We wrote off Sorloth. He came good about two years later.
Thinking back - didn't we largely write off AJ as a poor transfer too?

We wrote off Sanogo. We wrote off Adebayour. We wrote off Gareth Taylor. We wrote off Bamford. We were correct there.

Shades of Jimmy Durante.
They said Mozart was mad
They said Puccini was mad
They said Louis was mad
Who's Louis? My uncle, he was mad!

I'm excited about this and willing to get behind it at least.

As a fan, I think it's a bit silly at best for me to worry about the club's finances when I have no idea what's going on. I only care about the team, the team which has not won in 12 games.

Whether it be a knee injury, fatigue, the wanting away or whatever, Mateta has been useless for some time now. There was quite a bit of noise around JSL previously which wasn't for nothing.

He may well be low on confidence playing for a team seemingly doomed to relegation however with the most wasteful team in Europe brining him to the capital, in a new environment, and hopefully serving up opportunities to this young striker required to prove his worth, I'm holding out for the best.

Welcome Jorgen and good luck, you and we both need it!

A lot of talk about how average he is, but Newcastle were willing to pay £65 million in the summer for him, while Leeds also bid £40 million for him this window. If he was so average, why didn't Wolves take the money? They saw him every day in training as well as in games. As the Wolves fan said when they came on here, when he had talented players around him he took his chances. Well, Palace are creating chances by the bucketful this season (7th in PL for big chances created), we're just not taking them.

I think most of us are surprised at the fee, but we'll soon forget about that if he starts banging them in.

Not meaning to be insulting but looking at his picture about 6 inches of his height appears to be his neck. He's got a head like a periscope. Still, if he gets it on the end it's few crosses he can look like a giraffe for all anyone cares.

Thats where I got to last night. I was getting stressed about the fee, and still feel that its crazy.

BUT, ignoring that. He's a big lad who has always scored goals, and stepped up from the Eredivisie to La Liga to the Prem. 14 league goals for Wolves in your debut prem season is pretty impressive.

No reason to think that with our team he wont start firing again.

Yep, snap, but came to appreciate how pointless my personal headache and obsession of the matter was!
