It strikes me that FIFA do not want a European team to win this year’s competition. If inexperienced referees from small nations with weak football leagues are appointed they can be manipulated to provide an “appropriate” result. It doesn’t work all the time but so far the Netherlands and Germany have been put out. This was certainly evident in the England v Mexico game! Compare the decisions against what Paraguay received from VAR...... It's getting a bit ridiculous now!

I think you have to have 8 English Qualified - trained in England 3 years before 18-21. And four (included as English qualified too) trained by the club 3 years between 18-21. Players who are under 21 and been at the club over two years don't need to be registered. If you can't fulfill that, you lose a space in the 25 man squad.
I'm really just going by Football Manager on this - but it's usually correct. It isn't that easy to get the full 25 for Palace. Particularly since Clyne and Zaha are gone. Mitchell and Wharton count as Club ones. Canvot will one day. Have to register someone like Goodman, Rak-Sakyi or Ozoh to have a full squad. That's why we keep on registering a load of goalies.
Premier League rules are 8 English qualified and U21s don't need to be registered.

Plus as spares if we get rid of any of those we can register Rak-Sakyi, Kporha, Cardines, Goodman, Whitworth, Imray, Adaramola, França, or Ozoh.

Understand some of those in the spares aren't required to be registered as youths, but if necessary they can be, to make up the quota.

That's why I will be surprised to see the likes of Imray and Ozoh being sold this window.

No, Wharton doesn't count as he came to us in Feb 24 just before Glasner so hasn't done 3 years with us and in any case he's 22 now.

I would expect Cardines, Imray, and Ozoh to have the best chance. Or do we need one of the GKs to make up our three GK slots?

Personally I would be happy to see those names actually get some game time. Imray has a good chance this season.

Goodman won't count as we already have 3 GK's in Henderson, Benitez & Matthews he would only take up a spot which is not needed. If a 'Keeper leaves, then maybe, but doubt it.
