Jaydee Canvot

If we don't get an experienced CB that matches Glasner's expectations, which now seems unlikely, then I can see Guehi staying until January and Canvot being introduced from the bench until then, unless injuries demand otherwise with maybe a loan brought in as cover, and extended if Riad remains unavailable.
This is surely the only reasonable outcome now!

Liverpool might be desperate by January and be pushed up to £45M. 😎

Hope I'm wrong but Parish wants the cash so Marc will be gone . Glasner will have to introduce the kid a bit quicker than he would like . Clyne and Lerma will be used as cover if we dont get anyone else in .

30 hours left to sort it out

Hope you’re wrong. We will be far too short at centre back if Guehi sold and not replaced with some experience

The kid is having his medical today by all accounts.
Official announcement tomorrow, then. Hopefully with a couple more signings

After Glasner’s remarks after this evening’s game Parish would risk a lot if he agreed to Marc leaving tomorrow and I don’t think he will unless Marc is pushing for it. Which doesn’t appear to be the case at all.

Let’s hope not and then let the very obvious bond between the players, and the high regard they hold for the modest guy that Marc is, encourage him to sign a new contract with a sensible buy out fee woven in alongside a hike in wages and a share of the fee. We get to keep him for another year, or two, plus money when he leaves. He stays where he is loved and still becomes super rich.

Mark might be playing it smart by running down his contract so he can demand a massive wage from Liverpool as a free transfer. Like Kamada did for us.

This on?

If so, is he really an immediate Guehi replacement?

Surely one to bed in over a season as sub and to start in the "lesser" games.
Seems to be he’s the future CB .

Latest right now CB were being linked to is
Igor Julio . Be interesting to see where he gets the warmer welcome . Selhurst or Brighton …

Marc is 100% playing it smart, I'd argue that its been his plan from day one of the contract. He is the lowest paid player in the first team because he knows he wants to his next move to be at a high profile club like Liverpool. Hes refused any attempts over the last few years to offer him improved terms because he knows he is in a powerful position with his contract. If he doesn't go today he knows he will have any amount of options next summer.

If we do well this year, he may even do some sort of deal to stay on a massively improved fee/wage. Sorry, wrong thread.

Absolute rumour mill. Guehi is off with no replacement incoming. A bit silly placing our hopes in Brighton. How stupid are we really? 1 hour 45 mins to get in a quality replacement. It ain't going to happen is it?

If you mean Canvot I'm told he signed over an hour ago. They'll be too busy to announce it immediately but I'd imagine SSN will probably mention it soon
