Citeh.....no silverware

ManUre failing to qualify for Europe.....not getting those glamour signings over the summer. Certainly not for cheap.

Both teams lower in the Prem table than has been customary recently.

Two of the biggest clubs in the World ? where did it all go wrong.

One of the bigger voices in getting FA Cup replays ended because of fixture congestion now scrambling around Asia during the closed season trying to make a buck .

I dare say they will come back strong at some point but Im enjoying seeing them get a bit of a reality check . No European football for them cuts off a much needed revenue stream and will probably mean in the short term at least that they will be a selling club . Current players are tainted as non triers and on big contracts so they wont walk away . Younger stars will be sold , not that they have any that I would be looking at though they do seem to become better players when they leave .
