Israel v Iran

Just like the Ukraine response, the Iran strikes have shown just how militarily impotent Europe are, and also NATO.
It's the big boys calling the shots.
I laughed at the Starmer situation, where EU leaders weren't even told the Iran strikes were happening, until they were under way. And why would the USA want assistance from a country like Britain ? We've got a huge military deficit.

Well this is what the left wanted because it hated the British Empire....and like everything else that isn't them they worked tirelessly to turn us into an impotent nation.....and late on they found an uneasy partner with the corporate neoliberal Tories who only cared about 'line go up' and keeping house prices high for boomers.

Collectively they fecked the country and we went from one of the strongest nations in the world pre WW2 to essentially a 'citizen of nowhere' country less than a hundred years later.

Our voice in the world reduced to being a client state of one of our colonies begging for scraps.

Al Qaeda are Sunni terrorists. Shiite Iran has nothing whatever to do with them. Sworn enemies (as was Saddam Hussein). Your link undoubtedly comes off a nut-job website or is a ficton pedaled by the UWSA, Israel etc. (as George W did with Iraq)

The other list you give are simply countries. I am not gong to research the list as I suspect that any atrocities were also Sunni and sponsored from "private" sources from our friends in Saudi Arabia, Qatar etc.

However, I will make my own random list just to give this reply come credibility.

That's an interesting question.

Do we pay lip service to going easy on Gaza while secretly seeing its inhabitants as enemies of our interests, or do we simply tolerate Israel's 'revenge' in the interests of the bigger picture.

What would we do about it in any case?

Also, I'm not sure if you can so easily separate Iran from Gaza or indeed from Lebanon. Hamas and Hezbollah are funded by Iran. Israel is fighting different heads of the same monster.

Just hope we haven't been targeted.....as it would be yet another 'gift' of diversity that our 'leaders' have bestowed upon the country.

To be fair to Starmer along with the EU he's responded to the attack on nuclear facilities quite diplomatically.

That's what Starmer should have been..... a diplomat, not a politician.

Sorry mate, you know it's going to happen. Loads of brainwashed radicals in all of our countries. Whilst our security forces have been instructed to look out for far right terrorism - as that is more trendy. It's got to the stage where people and the media hardly blink at an Islamic radical attack. It's like the IRA in London - no one particularly worried about it in the end. Became almost part of life. People become immune to it.

Agreed, and it would happen whether or not America had attacked Iran.

Yes both were appalling but most human rights organisations would say the Islamic Republic is more violent and repressive. But it's the strong anti-Israel thing that creates a bigger problem outside of its own borders which dangerously impacts the region and terrorism in the world.
