Israel v Iran

It's interesting that the Jew haters criticise Israel for being 'colonisers'.

Yet Iran is the biggest colonial expansionist power in the Middle East. Iran has a proxy empire and dominates multiple countries – Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Gaza. They fund multiple wars, sectarianism and repress their own people.

One country seeks peace, while the other wants to literally wipe it out and has designs to take over a whole region.

A Western democracy vs unelected Supreme Leader operating Shia Islamic law.

Yet it's tough for some people to work out who the bad guys are in this conflict...

🤣 🤣 🤣

I don't need to choose sides. It's not a binary decision. I'll call out mass murder and war crimes where i see it, and seems to be relatively reliable news source(s)
In the mini war crimes league, Israel seems well ahead of both HAMAS and Iran.

Historically Iran was peaceful, its borders unchanged. Whereas Israel has been pretty consistent in its movement into the West Bank.

Oh, Iran’s always been peaceful? Except for all the proxy wars, border conflicts, and exporting revolution. Meanwhile, Israel’s "movement" is a tiny footnote in centuries of regional chaos – and countless peace agreements ignored.

This is just hyperbole with no factual evidence. Yet again.

"I don't need to choose sides"... then you choose a side!

🤣 🤣 🤣

You do know who started this war way back on that fateful day of October 7?

Yes Israel has wanted peace. It has signed peace deals with Egypt and Jordan. The Abraham Accords in 2020 normalised ties with UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. Israel has offered a Two-State solution multiple times with no counter offers. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2025 and removed every Jew from their home. Israel has security cooperation with the PA in the West Bank.

How does Iran want peace in the region?

Why are multiple countries such as Saudi Arabia in agreement with Israel?

And morally a nuke would be intolerable to their allies, I agree.

And that demonstrates precisely that where we draw our lines on morality can have real impacts on how warfare is conducted and what is deemed acceptable.
It's not about morality, it about avoiding a no win situation.

Have you ever noticed morality playing a part in decision making during wartime?

Plenty might claim so afterwards, but decision making is not just about winning. It's about not losing.
It's about preventing deaths on your side. Doing the right thing is not as simple as you suggest.

In an environment like the Middle East, cruelty and death is far more common place.

It's a very good reason why we should never have opened our borders to people of this mentality.

Israel would nuke Iran off the map if it were no holds barred - so clearly there is an acceptance that some things are beyond the pale and some rules can be observed, even in conflict.

When did Israel say this? Otherwise this is hyperbole.

Iranian leaders have repeatedly called for Israel's destruction ("wiped off the map"). Iran currently has 60% uranium enrichment which is far beyond the 3-5% needed for nuclear power reactors.

I disagree that it’s not about morality - they know the world would turn on them if they ever did it.

Yes, militaries decide not to take numerous options available to them during conflicts in the name of morality.

I mean given they don’t even admit to owning nukes, that would be difficult wouldn’t it?

‘Jew haters’ again. Literally no actual debating position left.

You obviously don't read my posts. They are always backed up with evidence on why I make that statement. It's all laid out very clearly. You can never respond with facts-based arguments – always emotions and finger pointing like you are doing right now as you are unable to counter! Where are your counter arguments to today's posts?
