Who is the "we" and carrying water?

I'm not digging out people on the forum if they want to weigh in heavily on one side or the other. I understand what the differing arguments are. I was just stating my position as I think I make clear.....that neither of these 'sides' care about us and that both have injured us and both interfere with us negatively.

So when I say 'carry water' it's just that. I don't see neither side as a positive actor for the British.

In fact we are everyone's whipping boy.

You are correct but I don't believe anybody is carrying water for anyone. It's nothing more than discussing a conflict that's in the news.

I visited a synagogue this week and many of the British Jews said they feel under attack right now. They are genuinely worried about the future living in London. A minority group that few people defend.

Well, as a group they are under attack and they are right to be worried. Each year the government imports people who will be forever their enemies....it's a policy this government has pursued because it's the group think in most of Europe....It's maddening for us on the right but there you go.

Jews themselves I have little issue defending, even though....because they view themselves as a minority, most of them vote left....Or did so until recent events. They were encouraging their own displacement.

Some Jews will leave and that's unfortunate even though I don't blame them. If we can get the real right in charge in this country we can start making this a country that puts Britain first and rejects the attempts of the left and neoliberals to turn us into a sectarian mess that represent foreign 'zones of control' that aren't British.....well, it isn't an attempt, it's pretty much happened already in areas.

Perhaps if this can be corrected Jews will feel safe here.

Mission Creep.
It's been happening steadily, since Israel launched it's counter-offensive.
Now additional areas of Gaza are going to be under direct Israeli control.

"Israel's defence minister has said troops will remain in so-called security zones they have established by seizing large areas of Gaza even after an end to the war.

Israel Katz said the zones would provide a "buffer" to protect Israeli communities "in any temporary or permanent situation", and that "tens of per cent" of the Palestinian territory had been added since the Israeli offensive resumed three weeks ago.

Israel would continue its six-week blockade of humanitarian aid to pressure Hamas to release hostages, he said, despite the UN warning of "devastating" consequences." (16 April 2025. BBC)

I have feelings of resignation in regards to this, but what we all have to watch is the slaughter and displacement of Palestinians whilst Israel completes its mission. I never thought i would see a genocide in my lifetime. But there are many, all under-reported. This is particularly disturbing to me, because there is no Western media coverage (to speak of), and this is all being funded by the USA and their military suppliers.
