He claims he is in the Muslim Quarter but that doesn’t look like it to me. That looks like the Old City. Nor is he dressed appropriately for the Muslim Quarter.
The Old City does though have lots of Muslims living and working there, often running the small shops and stalls. The Old City is a place where Jews, Christians and Muslims happily cohabit most of the time. They work together, even if they don’t workship together. It’s actually a beacon of hope in a sea of despair. A tour guide, who was a Jew, I had there had a great relationship with the Muslim shop owners and their children. They greeted him as a real friend as we passed through.
So the Old City is very different and Y-L is being somewhat disingenuous in suggesting this is a typical attitude.
