We can get another Season out of Sarr, if we win the Europa we can get another on top of that, same with Wharton, and probably Kamada, but we need to have replacements lined up asap.

I hope the gossip is wrong also. For me the real problem is often the player's agent. Taking Sarr, for example, the agent will get £3m-£6m from the transfer (assuming sold for £60m) and a further £100k-£200k pa of his salary (usually paid once a year by the buying club - nice!).
I have visions of a Danny de Vito lookalike, loads of jewellery and a big fat cigar. So it's unlikely he'd want a long term servant (eg Matt le Tissier) whose transfer value diminishes (potentially to zero) with age.
Of course we don't see everything. Apart from the player's ambition there are "softer" factors such as family, language and religion.
Ah well no doubt all will be revealed later this week. In the meantime, as a Palace fan for over 60yrs I am reminded of that famous quote "It's the hope that kills you".

Its a much more difficult competition but if Villa can win it and Forest can reach the semi final I really dont see why we cant go deep into the competition.
It's going to be real tuff this year there are stronger teams in there than last year when villa won

deep into the competition is not winning it, but I’ll take that this year, as long as we give it a good go and get out of the group. At least this season we know we’ll definitely still be in it into the new year, because two group games are in January

I don't know if this is correct, but I do find it absurd that he could potentially go on 'strike' until after the Turkish window closes ( assuming his injury is 'strategic').
Separately there's a story that Franca will go on loan.
This makes sense as he needs proper game time which he's unlikely to get with us at present.
I thought this might be the case after Sage was asked about Franca, and acclaimed his talent but said the club ' had to decide what to do with him.'
