I must admit I still don’t understand how clubs can approach other teams players and agree personal terms….it used to be called “tapping up”.

LOL... I do hope this isn't true, I've always seen him as a solid character. We will know tomorrow.

Clubs don't 'tap up' players as you call it, against the rules. However, clubs talking to agents, entourage, brother, father etc etc, is what happens.

Even well over 100k wouldn't be outlandish when you consider just how much of a threat he is. And a nice little sign on fee like maybe 2.5-4 mil or so. A bonus at 20 goals and assists. Bonus on winning in Europe.
