Ismaïla Sarr

This story is picking up steam with more reputable sources now reporting it. When Sarr was away for AFCON we were awful. It was no coincidence that his return coincided with an uptick in form. Regardless of the fee received, this could be suicide if we let him go. We waited about 5 years to finally sign him, so we can't let him go so easily!
They only want to pay 30 to 40m thats not going to happen , from one of these reputable sources

Sport Witness regurgitating some rubbish from a ‘reporter’ I’ve never heard of in Italy?

It's so ridiculous that I can't help but think there has to be some element of truth to it. What an odd thing to make up - at least say it's Inter or United or Atletico.

If it does happen then the sack the board banners will be out again.

This
  1. selling your best player(s) in August
  2. having brought in no reinforcements 2 weeks before the season starts
  3. and then buying 4 players after 10pm on deadline day,
  4. falling apart due to small squad size pre-Christmas
  5. and then finally sorting out the squad in January
  6. playbook that we live by really is tedious.

Reasons Sarr won’t go to Fenerbache:
1)He’s under contract until 2029.
2)As one of our best players the Club would not let him go particularly after upsetting the fan base with the Lacroix transfer.
3)They can’t afford a massive transfer fee and wages.
4)Why would he want to play in Turkey particularly with the blatant racism of the fans there? I’m sure Wilf’s unhappy stay there is a warning.
5) From a purely footballing perspective why go from the best league in Europe to one which is middling at best?
Enough to calm everyone down?

Surely rumours of going to Turkey can't be true. His stock is way higher than that league and could they even afford what he's worth - must be at least £65m+ given his goal scoring record for us and his country.

Then again, i thought Zaha would go somewhere bigger than the Turkish league and he went there and flopped !

I think Wilf had hit, or was close to, the 30 mark when he left and his powers were on the slide. Sarr is still only 28 and has a few good years left in him.

Maybe, but like Sarr will if he does go there, played Champions League. Just saying. Also, clickbait is saying he'll leave in the next few hours & go to Utd, go figure.

Reasons why Lacroix would’nt go to Chelsea
1) He was under contract until 2029
2) He’s our key defender after having already sold Guehi and an integral part of our trophy wins
3)Chelsea aren’t even in Europe (unlike us), change managers as often as some change underpants and already have expensive under utilised centre backs
4) His form at Palace enabled him to make the breakthrough into a very competitive French international team.

Reasons why Lacroix would go to Chelsea
1) They probably doubled his wages.

The new reality is that all our players are for sale.

We can’t even bluff successfully any more.
Does anybody remember the scenario with Guehi last summer?
Apparently we told Liverpool that if they wanted Guehi , they would have a deadline of a few weeks before the end of the window to complete to enable us to source a
replacement.
And yet on the last day of the window there we were trying to flog Guehi at the last minute and line up Igor Julio as a panic replacement which fortunately never materialised .
Modern day football for you, despite the fact that we are supposedly in the richest 30 or so clubs in the world.

People saying 'why would he go to Fenerbahçe' may want to look at the fact that both Mason 'the wrongun' Greenwood and Nathan Ake both signed this summer, having also signed big names like Guendouzi, Ederson and Amrabat last summer. Greenwood is supposedly getting EUR10 million per year. Sarr is getting about half that with us. They are also still in the UCL as it stands. With regard to their outlay, they've spent a whopping EUR200 million on players since last summer, with only EUR50 million in sales coming in, with talk of there still being plenty of money to spend. So it seems they spend more than us, pay higher wages to their top players, and (as it stands) are in a higher European competition. This is not to say this is not all a load of rubbish, but Sarr was always going to have suitors after strong European and World Cup campaigns, and I wouldn't be so quick to discount him wanting to move there.

They have a massive wage budget they can absolutely afford to pay the wages and are in Europa League/Champions League every season. Racism is a bit overstated because osimhen is loved in turkey a lot. However they probably wont pay north of 55 million which should keep him at the club

Seen lots of stories over the years of overseas players having problems with getting paid at quite a few Turkish clubs. A few players still owed money from way back apparantly.

I read that Turkish Premier League equivalents spend 88% revenue on salaries?

They could comfortably double his salary.
