Don’t think his stance had any impact whatsoever apart from making some Palace fans less aggrieved at losing out to a bigger club.

Possibly he could’ve made the difference, but would he have stopped the late goals we let in against saints and Charlton which ultimately sent us down? We’ll never know

We were relegated because of what we did on the pitch over the whole season not one decision on a player we didn’t even sign

We’d would have been miles away from relegation by then. Didn’t he get into double figures for goals that season? Or something like that? Our midfield weighed in with next to nothing…..
