At 70 mil, we'd have to accept it. However, the club needs to accept that anyone we have will never, ever get anywhere near replacing his goals. In other words, we'll have to pay most of the money to replace him. As is happening with the Lacroix ill-thought out transfer. Where will we get a replacement for either? My guess is - we won't.

We've got Franca and Esse who will end up staying and barring a miracle, it'll be a very tough season. But if Wharton stays fit & we can sort out our defence, we should be ok!

We simply can’t let Sarr go this late in the window - we have no time to replace him..!!

I for one am getting seriously concerned - Munoz OK we expected and Khalalli looks very decent.
But now talk about Saar and Henderson - we cannot let either of these go.
Meantime we have still done nothing about another CB and CDM.

Esse isn't going to make it and we need to cut our losses. I would have said Franca wouldn't make it, but he impressed me pre season. He was our bright spot of pre season. I think we should give him a go. Even against poor opposition, Esse hasn't shown the determination to succeed. Which is the bare minimum requirement.

Esse and Franca are nowhere near good enough to replace Sarr..
Johnson at Everton plays in a similar position to Sarr and could be worth a shout.

What’s really bothering me is that Parish talked constantly about taking us to the next level - now we’re here he seems reluctant to invest and support it and maximise the opportunity.
Which is very disappointing to say the least.

Based on what? The fact that we signed Gozo as a clear replacement to Esse who it looks like we are selling and Franca apparently we are looking for another loan out? I would say it's pretty clear that both Esse and Franca are not going to play for us again.

History. We replaced Guehi and Lacroiux with Riad and Canvot (i like Jaydee but not up to their level) and now theres an obvious weakness.
If Sarr goes and we don't bring in a replacement (which I can't see), I can already see the Parish interview, lose Sarr, JP & Munoz thats what 70% of put goals from last season!

The next level will be the one below the level we were on last year. Still if we get 11 players putting in 100% and the manager turns out to be decent I won’t care where we finish. I waited 55 years for a bit of success and the vultures picking off our best players just feels like payback time for the two years of glory.

But this is just not true. We didn't bring in either Canvot or Riad to replace anybody. Both were brought in to be young players to develop for the future. The players we have brought in to replace Guehi and Lacroix are Disasi and Tomiyasu. Tomiyasu looked good so far and Disasi has yet to play a minute but should be a more than capable player based on past performances.

The latest link I saw was mentioning close to 80 million euro .
If we get that , we can buy 2-3 handy replacements.
I assume that the management have lists of players and conversations going on to cover various scenarios . I have felt this window we seem proactive , when one possible fizzles , 2-3 options pop out there and I’m sure there are others we never hear about .

He's irreplaceable, like Eze, there's no player we can get who could replace him. His got 3 years left on his contract, reject all bids for him.
We assumed the same last summer with Guehi, then the club accepted a bid on deadline day.
