Interesting developments. I doubt Iran will ever respond to Trumps threats as he wants them to. Theres really no winners if both sides continue to just smash stuff up. It'll just result in higher and higher prices for everything. Quite pleased I'm back from Cyprus now. As you say every western asset within a 4000km range and possibly even more is now a legitimate target for the Iranians. The regime change attempt has failed, and if anything seems to have galvanised the long-sanctioned Iranian people, rather than dividing them. Who knew eh.

I do wonder if Iran will try to bring Gibraltar and Crete into the equation , Knowing local sentiment will be against the UK if missiles are aimed at the British bases on those islands .
The Political and Military fallout would be huge for the UK if long range ballistic missiles are just aimed let alone land anywhere close to Europe .

I would say Trump is doing anything but storming off like he promised on Thursday , Quite the opposite given the latest ultimatum , If Iran dosent backdown in the next 40 hrs the situation is going to get a whole lot worse ..
I imagine Israel are loading the bombs and priming their ballistic big baby’s as I type , This is the moment Israel’s leader has been praying over for decades .

But maybe that's a key issue here? Trump says one thing on Monday only to say something opposite on Tuesday and Wednesday etc.
Who would want to actually negotiate with him as unless any agreement is just an acceptance of that days demands and ends with 'thal you Donald you deserve a big shiny medal,' he would not sign it and even then he would change his mind.

I remember being told when I was at school doing history that the difference between success and failure historically was often down to having an exit strategy before you started something.

I am still not sure if this really was Trumps war, I think that Netenyahue saw him coming and buoyed by his 'success in Venezuela played on that.

But right now in a war where no one wants to put boots on the ground this is not going to end well for anyone

They are very clever people, the Iranians. You could definitely see them using all the cards they have as it's now existential for them to not only give Trump and his Israeli backers a bloody nose, but also to ensure that similar unprovoked attacks arent repeated down the line. They can simply reiterate that the Strait isn't closed, only closed to enemies of Iran. Whether we count as an enemy of Iran due to previous longstanding chihuahua activity to the USA is debatable but we are as affected as everyone else by the situation economically if not militarily.

I would say having the right logistics in place before commencing a campaign and not to overstretch your military , Something I think Trump hasn’t put in place before going on the attack .
This war should have not have been undertaken for at least another year .
How did Israel allow missiles to get so close to their nuclear plant ?
Iran obviously overstretched Israels missile defence capability and Israel underestimated Irans capability and missile supply .
How many times are will going to be told Iran military hardware is obliterated only for Iran to launch a huge wave of drones and ballistic missile 🤷

My source said that Iran has very nearly managed to shoot down 3 IDF jets, and that actually they still have about 150 SAMs available. I guess they had them hidden, along with an extra stockpile of drones and missiles.

Iran obviously had enacted a plan for this type of attack.

If it escalates I'd rather the Arabs pile in since they have now armed up with western kit, I don't want our troops on the ground.

I have to ask why Iran has long range ballistic weapons? I thought its beef was with Israel where it can use its more conventional armaments. By deploying long range weapons has just confirmed to the rest of the world what a threat Iran is…stick a nuclear warhead on a long range weapon and that is all the reason for Trump and Israel to be proactive in this situation. I’m not happy with the situation but I can understand it.

I will believe that when I see it ,on Wall Street Trump is know for TACO,Trump ALWAYS chickens out. Yesterday Trump was saying he wants to wind down the war, anyone can pick which utterance they like as he always contradicts himself.

Your preferred sources literally told us that Iranian missiles could only go 2000km, just before Diego Garcia was struck 4000km away. They need to make up their minds.
