It's up to the UN courts to make a ruling on whether Gaza can be classed as genocide or not.

Whatever they decide, it clearly doesn't excuse any crimes committed by Hamas or others. But then that's obvious.

The point is that this loose definition of 'our side' seems rather simplistic, arbitrary and subjective.
Many of those taking legal action against Israel have a much stronger claim to being 'our side'.
