Tories get no credit from me.

It still means that 900,000 immigrated to this country. It's a big improvement but only because the previous numbers were appalling. It still went up 200,000.

I have asked this question before I genuinely do not know the answer.

How do the numbers break down by socio economic ratings

How may AB (Higher & intermediate managerial, administrative, professional occupations) left this country versus immigrated here. Is there an imbalance?

Are we losing skilled workers to be replaced by unskilled?

It's not just the raw numbers it's also about the quality. AB people will not be claiming benefits where as DE people almost certainly will

I thought that Mayor Kahn had insisted that migration is a net benefit not a drain on us...yeah right

which European countries are receiving migrants from hot countries ? compare countries with modest benefits (The Balkans, Moldova) to those with generous benefits (Sweden, France, Ireland).

I'll have a guess that anyone caught being smuggled out is treated as a victim and given leave to remain and benefits.
