A lot of Irish fought for the UK in WW2, Ireland was officially neutral, your post is simply wrongRecent then, remember it well.

They do notThe IRA collaborated with Germany. They either represent Ireland, or they do not.

They do not
Your argument is just silly and somewhat childish so am not playingAll along they WERE terrorists then not representing what the people wanted
incorrect. It was only about 10% of the Irish wanted Hitler to win - often people who previously had family members killed by The Brits - such as the 1920 'Black & Tans'. And following the Potato Famine Genocide, Cromwells Genocides, 700 years of occupation, ethnic & cultural cleansing, an Apartheid Island with brutal Penal-Laws, and the brutal punishments of the 1916 Easter Rising....its all fairly easy to understand.Recent then, remember it well.

Very many Irish fought FOR the Brits in WWII......and they did so voluntarily , without being drafted. And very many Irish who were closer to 'neutral' worked in the munitions factories in places like Coventry. None of them worked factories in Dresden....which also got flattened by arial bombardments.
And to answer your comment : the Brits sided with Stalin. Commie Bastards.

I wouldn't normally argue with an Irishman about Irish history, but wasn't Cromwell's assault on Ireland a response to the massacre of Protestant settlers, and therefore, not really a genocide?incorrect. Like kidnapping and enslaving Patrick.Just like the Scots, Hollyweird will only ever show the English atrocities.
A more balanced view of Anglo Irish history (2000 years) will show that the Irish interfered in England and Scotland almost as much as the English did in Ireland.
They say history is written by the victors but sometimes the narrative is written by the victims. I am not excusing England's conquest of Ireland just pointing out that there were plenty of Irish going the other way.
Mac Nee? I've watched The Avengers, the punishment was all ours.Like kidnapping and enslaving Patrick.
"In Sub-Roman Britain, the Scoti of Ireland raided and colonized the western Scottish and Welsh coastlines"Like kidnapping and enslaving Patrick.
Notice the invasion urge is Post Norman. Take the French away and England would be rural idyl with us chewing on straw by haywains."In Sub-Roman Britain, the Scoti of Ireland raided and colonized the western Scottish and Welsh coastlines"
939 Kingdom of Dublin invaded Northumbia
The Scots and the Irish often helped each other out over the centuries.
Not saying what England did was correct but we were just better at invading other people's countries.

yes Eagle, you have a valid point. My reply is that Catholic ireland hates Oliver Cromwell for all the persecutions. And yet often forgets that he persecuted half of England too.I wouldn't normally argue with an Irishman about Irish history, but wasn't Cromwell's assault on Ireland a response to the massacre of Protestant settlers, and therefore, not really a genocide?
If one were feeling brave, one could liken it to the response by Israel to the October massacre.
However, I'm not going to press the point.
