I'm looking forward to his announcement that we will retake our old colonies.
He certainly shares Boris' relationship with the truth. You'd hope that more care will be applied in the future or it's a bit concerning what other gems might slip through the net. You'd also think, though, that Starmer would be a bit more diligent in preparing a speech. Unless he shares Boris's freestyle wing-it approach.
We are agreeing far too much 😛He certainly shares Boris' relationship with the truth.
Mate, if the 'narrative' is literally being left-wing, what the f*** do you think is supposed to happen..?
Starmer has actively gone to war with the left of the Labour party to try and endear himself to 'sensible centrists', but you think he should still have the unconditional support of the left..? Does that make even a semblance of sense?
I know unconditional blind faith of politicians is standard for some, but no one has my guaranteed support because of the colour ribbon they wear, which seems to be how you are suggesting it should work.
'The right just do it differently' 🤣🤣
"Mate" my point is the left demonise anyone who steps out of their circle TTK or not.
Same with Jk rowling a liberal and then cancelled for her comments or now TTK who is dubbed a racist for his comment. it’s a moral flex by the leftys to out woke each other.
I said before the right rips into their own too but they don’t make it a lifestyle there lies the difference. I hope that helps 👍🏻
I think a doctor's report would be appropriate in this case.If Trump turned around tomorrow announcing a socialist manifesto and open borders with the world, do you think the right would have grounds to criticise him..? Just for 'stepping out of their circle'?
No. They'd go full on Lee Harvey Oswald. If Trump turned around tomorrow announcing a socialist manifesto and open borders with the world, do you think the right would have grounds to criticise him..? Just for 'stepping out of their circle'?
Well as long as they don't 'make it a lifestyle'.No. They'd go full on Lee Harvey Oswald.

How would they get fitted up that quickly? They'd need more grassy knolls.No. They'd go full on Lee Harvey Oswald.
As The Donald himself would say,How would they get fitted up that quickly? They'd need more grassy knolls.
Well that's clear, tangible, definable - absolutely not just a projection of your own biases. If Trump went full socialist the right would roast him.
The difference here is that the left do not just criticise they launch a moral crusade to excommunicate anyone who strays across that line or out of the circle be it big or small.
They would also be Huuuge knollsAs The Donald himself would say,
"We have knolls. We have more knolls than ever before and people say they're the grassiest".

I think that the JK Rowling situation illustrates a major difference between the modern left and right today.
JK Rowling pretty much agrees with the left on every issue save one....and because it's that one issue, she is treated appallingly by them. She isn't invited to any of their events like she use to be, she is persona non grata. She doesn't even abandon the left (which you wouldn't blame her for) she just sticks by her position....probably because she has 'F you' money.....yet death threats every day.
While this can also happen on the right, the tolerance for different opinions is far greater than the group think requirement that infects the left. The right are split on several issues (Ukraine, abortion, Israel and others) but don't obsess over it, as we genuinely do believe in the big church model.....it's why you can have the Smith v Murray debate.....people have to right to just have different opinions. There are fewer core requirements to be on the right.
I don't know why anyone's bothered what he said. It's not like anything will actually change.Without getting into the whole 'cancelling' debate, I'm sure we can agree that conflating the sort of 'cultural cancel' you describe with criticism of the Prime Minister making a speech is obviously inane.

I don't like Starmer because he doesn't like me...well my type obviously....looks to jail them, while he ignores edgy opinions from his own base.....that and I don't think left wing politics works as a governing ideology.
However, I don't believe in cancelling people in society for unpopular opinions. I don't like this move towards group think in general, the freedom to differ is exactly that....freedom. Everything has limits but opinions should mostly be left alone.
I grew up with grandparents who were Labour voters but socially conservative (much more a thing back then). We would often disagree on politics but I loved them dearly. Disagreeing on politics wasn't such a massive deal back then and I think that's a better way......lots of poe-faced unhappy people today.
Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of people are entitled to be unhappy. It's tough for a lot of people out there.....but I also think a percent of them take that too far.
