That's not true at all. Selhurst under the lights has always been decent. Talking as if the the HF didn't follow Block B and the Arthur.

Not taking anything away from what the HF have done at all but to say that we were nothing before is mad.
Im sure one of the reasons the HF started was because of how dire the atmosphere was, i dont remember it ever being great, and if it was it was usually coming from the away fans, when we were playing someone like pompey.

Who knows, but I do know before the HF the atmosphere was absolutely dire and it had been for years, having between 14-18k fans didnt help but we had one of the poorest atmospheres in the championship.
Rubbish. Our away support especially was always fantastic. The HF weren't the only people singing in the ground

What is funny is that you apparently need to be part of an organised group to sing. Does it affect the vocal chords?

They are just sulking because they can’t get their own way no doubt.

If the atmosphere was poor tonight, they only have themselves to blame.

Atmosphere was poor tonight not because of no HF, but because all all the f'kin tourists there to see Man City courtesy of a tout.

There must be 2,000+ of the tout season tickets in the Arthur alone, whilst 1,000's of genuine Palace fans stay stuck on a ST waiting list and cannot buy match day tickets.

Getting ridiculous now. The club have got to do something.

I think that there is a growing apathy for Premier League football. The constant stream of talent footballers out of the club and the recent success ironically has generated a resignation that the only way now is downwards.
For many home games the noise was only good at the start or after a goal, then the only sound was a small section of HF singing. The idea to put the HF in the middle has been a failure, it was meant to make the whole lower tier join in but never really materialised. Maybe a backs to the wall relegation struggle is what we need.

There's a surprising amount of revisionist history on this thread, and maybe people are bristling with a 'we don't need them' kind of pride.

Politics will always be divisive, but the fact is that the HF have been fundamental in giving SP its raucous atmosphere, which has been recognised across the football world. The 80's in the AW was great fun, piling to the back of the stand before a penalty, chucking celery (!) about and all that nonsense. When SP became all-seater and a lot of us moved to the Holmesdale, the seats seemed to literally suck the passion out of the fans. I remember in about 1998 getting so frustrated in a game against Spurs that we were so silent and so passive that I stood up and yelled at people to get involved. Everyone looked at me like I was a lunatic.

Yes, we can all sing without the HF. But the fact was we didn't. It was like a morgue, or like every other PL stadium.

Hopefully this is just another stunt, or a tactical response to that criminal in charge at Forest, but if these guys stop the noise and the displays forever, it will be a huge loss.

We have never been the best team in the Prem, but we have always had the best support. If that goes, we're bang in trouble. It will be like losing half the squad.

We’ve done the squad bit already 🤦

There was a moment last night when most of the ground was singing. It was great. Out failure to take our chances and them taking theirs was not helpful to building an atmosphere! I am worried that we will miss the HFs in these moments.

The club have done absolutely zero about it for years. It's just getting worse. We also have the worst stewarding in the league.

Clubs like Liverpool and Newcastle have made genuine efforts, why can't we?

I think some HF supporters are delusional. Last nights game, atmosphere wise went exactly how it would had gone had the HF been there.
The noise level was decent to start with, but it got to be a point where fans in the Arthur and blocks A-B would be singing and the ex HF were still singing their own songs so it all petered out.
The atmosphere was at top level again when Pino scored, but the wind got knocked out straight away as City scored their third very quickly after that.
This would have happened even if the HF were there, but the main difference being is that we didn’t have the drum and HF singing to themselves. Even when the HF were singing all game, it didn’t mean the atmosphere was good. It was just 50-100 odd blokes singing and banging a drum. That is not an atmosphere!! It takes the whole crowd to create an atmosphere.

Last nights game was just the start of the season, and a 1-4 loss will kill any atmosphere. But like the team we now need to find our voices, and maybe we need to listen to what is going on in the stadium and then ALL join in on that to create the noise.

so suing us has worked out ok for him ,i think its quite sad 🙁
Forest 1 up already & we have not played them

Woke is alive in football

One just hope Forest absolutely f up this season & The Fat One gets gut ache & gets herpes 🤣🤣

s*** I’m being sued

Seemed to be plenty of singing and atmosphere was not bad.

I also do believe a lot of them were still present in the same section though not in all black clothes and without the banners.

I'm sure they were singing with everyone else. They're still fans regardless if they are not ultras... or not officially ultras now.

I'm always in the Arthur and every time there are loads of opposition fans around me. I go on an international membership. I thought it might relate to that but the Box Office informed me there are max 400 reserved international places.
I believe this is the ticket sites. Immediate thought is a Ticketmaster scam. Their bots buy loads and resell them on other ticket sites. We need a Ticketmaster whistleblower.
As far as I'm concerned Ticketmaster are around one of the world's biggest Kunts.
