Here we go, blatant two tier judiciary

It would be interesting to know the make up of the jury.
I reckon that's why he pleaded not guilty as he knew he had a chance with a selection of the public. Meanwhile poor Lucy Connelly languishes in prison for a lesser statement. Obviously her suggestion of death to a certain section of the community was considered racist (which, as we know is the biggest crime of all). This could get really interesting, really, really interesting.

A fantastic verdict for those of us on the Right. An absolute vindication of every and any claim of a two-tier justice system. Love it.

And well done to that Jury. No doubt representative of the kind of multi-cultural society our enemies champion.

Love it!

Lucy Connolly pled guilty - big mistake! That's the difference as a jury would have let her off.
I can't remember where I read it - probably on a legal website - but it explained the reasoning behind why she pleaded guilty and why the sentence was what it was. It was reduced from 42 months to 31 months but she lost a subsequent appeal. She would have got longer if she had gone to trial and lost. So, what can we ascertain from this (aside from the two tier justice that we all feel about this)?
Well, on the face of it, it appears that 'automatic' sentencing is out of tilt with what a jury would decide, as you can argue that the crime of both Ricky Jones and Lucy Connelly were similar in their basic context.
Lucy's would be considered racially aggravated, whereas Ricky's did not specify a race, only Nazi types. However, being a Labour Council employee, you could claim that he should know better due to his position. His rant was in front of a live audience of thousands; Lucy's tweet reached under a thousand views.
The worrying situation is that has a precedent been set? If somebody suggests that the throats be cut of Socialist Worker members, does that fit the same parameters as Ricky Jones' statement?
I look forward to the reasoning of the jury in Ricky's case for some for of clarification.

I also understand it was made clear that people not taking the guilty plea's would be held on remand anyway.

But the jury decision is the key to this. People need to comprehend that the system has done what the system does. It is rotten now, with zero chance of justice unless your politics fit the wider picture. People need to grasp this fully. There is NO fixing this system.

There was always a rumour. That the Courts go easier on you, after you plead guilty.

Only a rumour , mind.

The system is working how it is meant to. Make a nasty social media post (and delete it soon afterwards) and you are charged and held on remand, effectively imposing a jail term straight away. But if you are a leftie (and a Labour councillor to boot) and threaten to cut peoples throats and you are bailed, with your court trial delayed for over a year and put up in front a jury (who are particular fickle when it comes to issues of freedom of speech).

Two tier justice laid out for all to see. Then can be no denying it now. And we ain't going to forget this. Oh no.
