I want us to sign him but was thinking more of a straight swap for Guehi. If Liverpool don’t watch out they’ll miss out. Sometimes they can be too cute in negotiations for their own good.

It would also dramatically improve Elliott’s chance of playing for England.

Agree. For what its worth I'd be surprised if Guehi left in this window now. If he did and he wasn't properly replaced (and I'm not talking about Akanji either) it would tip Glasner over the edge!

No I don't think it's a good price. What on earth has he done to warrant that price tag? They are moving him on, they don't think he's good enough for their 25, so just as players on the up to big clubs demand big fees, players on the way down do not.

You dont half talk some crap sometimes but if thats your opinion fair enough. Mine is that someone will sign him and then we'll see how well he does.
flitting in and out of Liverpools team has zero bearing on what he'd do at a club of our size. And to say his career is on the way down at 22 is either laughable or naive. Both actually
 
I never said he was no good, I said Liverpool don't want him and he's not worth £40m. What part of that is talking crap?

As said, if thats your opinion fair enough. Maybe we'll revisit this thread in say 6 months and see as you say if at just 22 his career is on the way down. Your words, not mine
