Come on lads, give it a rest. Glasner is in the past and we need to look ahead. Forget him - he's no longer one of us.
Whilst I was a big fan who always referred to him affectionately as Ollie in my posts, I have got beyond the anger at his leaving and then the sheer disrespect of him joining Forest to my current state of attempting to ignore what he does in his new job. Although, in a childish way I would like to see him fail.

You my friend are a much better human than I. He brought himself success and we happened to be along for the ride. All the loyalty of a rattlesnake.
I acknowledge that he did indeed give us the greatest sporting day ever but he well and truly ruined his legacy with his amateur dramatics, bare faced lying and then going to work for Demis Roussos. Nope. Cant stand him and I hope he gets sacked tomorrow or sooner.

Play them out of position like he did with us, it is crying out for a 4-2-3.1 with Hudson or Ndoye on one wing Hutchinson or McAtee on the other wing and Gibbs White in the middle, buffoon.

After his ranting I ignored him completely and just watched our matches.
I've now started ignoring all the managers and the press conferences. After all, what difference does it make? A lot are just arrogant and annoying. Most are full of cliches. They're not likely to say anything substantive, but most of all, they're so temporary now as to be largely transient and not worth worrying about in particular.
Have no doubt, Glasner will be sacked soon. He'll be the first to go.
We'll be somewhat triumphant but we need to sort ourselves out first.

He is a total git but he’s not ruining our legacy of wining the Cup. And I suspect most of us, if we saw him on a hike in the alps we’d be quite civil

Of course. I'd help dig him out of an avalanche as quickly as anyone.
A really good point. Managers, like players, have no loyalty. We all do for the club. They go off whenever it suits them.
I also ignored Glasner from around January once he blew up pre Sunderland away. Still enjoyed being in Leipzig but I value that as a club win and not a Glasner win.
Maybe you are his barrister, but not the only one. I’ve been critical of Glasner ever since his days as a player. I think he’s a bit stuck-up personally. But that doesn’t matter in the slightest when you look at his achievements at Palace: no titles worth mentioning before he arrived. No fewer than three titles by the time he left. That alone justifies my decision not to say another bad word about him. At least until a manager comes along who brings us a fourth title.
As soon as he has gone from Notts and found a new home I will be able to agree with you.
I wouldn't even care if it was Brighton, Charlton, or Milwall...
But when he works for the Don, he is not one of us. As things stand, he's not Our Oli.
So I will take large helpings of delight and schaudenfraude.
He will tell their fans "4-2-3-1 has always been my favourite formation". They will never see him use it.

I had a Palace crest tattooed on my arm when Pulis kept us up and now I’ve got the details of three trophies below it. I’m nearly running out of arm after winning nothing in my first 60 odd years beyond the bloody ZDS!! As Glasner suggested maybe we should feel a little humble…..

Glaser never deserted us for another club, he honoured his contract.
I do find it incredulous that there is so much antipathy towards a manager who provided us with unprecedented success which of course gave us all such unbridled joy.
I never thought I would ever see us lift the FA Cup and a European Trophy.Heady days indeed.

I know it's early days but I'm just not convinced Glasner is a good fit for Forest. There's an alchemy to successful managerial recruitment that stats and facts don't always reflect, intangibles where the right person finds themselves in the right place at the right time and magical results happen. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not seeing anything to suggest Glasner and Forest are capable of concocting that kind of enchanted elixir together. Yesterday, after all, he managed to send out a side that performed 100% worse than the display three days earlier. Glasner completely failed to motivate or organize the team when they ought to have been fired up to make amends for Saturday. The absence of MGW aside, there's no justification for following up Saturday's poor offering with Tuesday's toothless shambles.
There's an element of myth-making I'm seeing across Forest social media, not just on here, excusing these displays because his complicated "system" will take time, perhaps several months, to fully implement. I can appreciate that it takes a new manager time to fully integrate a new approach, but its not as though our players are being introduced to an utterly alien concept. We've implemented variations of 343, for better or worse, from Cooper on.
I also don't like that in Tuesday's postmatch interview Glasner fell back on the excuse that leeds are further along in their project than we are. This is only their second season back, we're now in our fifth straight season, with an expensively assembled squad of international players. As an extension of this, I don't accept that our current squad is inferior to that one from Yorkshire who have beaten us twice at home in less than a week. This is the same Forest squad, bar Anderson, that enjoyed a generally very effective final quarter of last season.
What I watched on Tuesday and Saturday is a team that doesn't appear to quite understand what it is supposed to be doing. We do have obvious positions that need either starters or backups recruited, but for the most part the story seems to be that of a manager failing to get a tune out of players who we know are cumulatively far, far better than these displays have shown.
As I say, I hope I'm wrong and Glasner is a success at Forest, and quickly, not least because I don't want another season of CG manager merry-go-round or another relegation battle, but so far it doesn't look to me that he isn't the managerial messiah our owner and some of our supporters appear to imagine him to be. What does seem certain is that the next few weeks will be interesting, and no doubt exceedingly frustrating.
