Glasner to Forest

I wonder was he tapped up last year? Around the time he told parish he "wanted a new challenge"? He said this around October and I think....Dyche was hired last October?

Makes you think 🤔

He has gone for bigger spending budget and wages which comes with more pressure. There owners will not tolerate bad runs of form in league or cup games Good lock OG

A bit depressing that he is dumping us for a club that in theory is not much bigger than us... Surely has got to be a massive own goal not being able to keep him?

Forest are far larger compared to us.

Just look at there history.

They currently have a larger capacity ground and have had plans in place to go up to close to around 55 thousand within next 10 years. (its taken palace 10 years to replace a toilet seat)

Not been in Pem this spell as long as Palace but have finished higher numerous times.

May not be a fan of the owner but he is willing to spend money.

For the older supporters...how does this rank compared with Steve coppel going to brighton? We still look back fondly of him? Maybe in a few years we will still look back fondly of glasner?

Suppose it's slightly different in that with Brighton it was the whole club/fans/players whereas with Forest it's all about the owner.
And Sir Steve is a hero for the ages.

You missed the point, its about money not European football. No other club would offer him £1m a month.
Didn't miss it... Glasner, from what I saw isn't motivated by money as the primary reason for choosing a club... the challenge and lure of London and the prem drew him to palace - he did really well.. all things considered.. he wanted to kick on and it definitely wasn't about his wages...

so here we are, he's missed out on a European club, which we all expected him to get, so it's plan b..

However, if you're going to settle for a mid table team, you may as well take the biggest offer on the table and look like a highly sort after manager in the process.. he won't get them into Europe for the next season, so what's it about... saving face.

He more than likely won't get them into Europe next year... second year? same odds... I dunno I just can't see him repeating what he did at palace.. well, besides the outburst...

He could need to be on a manager protection programme if he sounds off at Marinakis the way he has at Parish; but I daresay £13m a year may uncover a more philosophical streak.
