Glasner to Forest

Since it has been some months since Glasner announced he was leaving I’m genuinely surprised that he did not have a job lined up already.

There have been vacancies at Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs as well as some European clubs.

For those who don’t like Glasner it would be easy to say that he’s not an elite manager and that’s why such clubs have not touched him; but on examination is that fair?

He’s succeded wherever he has been, indeed if anything exceeding expectations.
His record is at least as good if not better than Carrack, Iraola, de Zerbi and Maresca and none them can claim to have a great track record at a top club either.
Perhaps Glasner was a possible Man Utd appointment, but Carrack’s good spell closed that avenue.

Some on here will say ‘I don’t care as he’s not at Palace anymore,’ which is fair enough, but as a wider football fan I’m genuinely curious as to how he’s ended up at Forest.
I might be wrong, but he doesn't strike me a mercenary type who’s prime motivation is money.

Maybe he actually hates Palace?

I agree
He has done much more than those Managers you’ve mentioned. Thought he would be a shoe in for a top level Italian or German club.

There is that little attitude question though. I'm presuming Marinakis thinks he can control that. It's going to get feisty at some stage. Let's be real about this: no way will they get on if the team goes on any kind of bad run.
Marinakis will waddle on to the pitch at some stage. Glasner will wade into a press interview at some stage. Luckily, they're in different weight divisions.

If we end up being Glasner’s most successful experience in management - then I can live with that!

He took us to a level that quite honestly, I would never imagined I would witness in my Lifetime supporting Palace.

As I said previously, it is his life, he honoured the contract he had with us, no complaints

I really hope he has a very tight 2 year contract. If Mariakis outs him after 6 months, £25m will soften the blow.
Hang on, manager playing rubbish selections and spouting off to get sacked for the money, that rings a bell.

Did he, i thought it was Henderson, Muñoz, Guehi, Richards, Mitchell, Lacroix, Wharton, Sarr, Olise, Eze and Mateta, sorry my mistake

Yes nottm forest have a big, fat, crook as an owner who is likely to implode or explode at any given moment.

But the actual team has finished 7th and reached two semi-finals in past couple of seasons. They also finished with brillant form in last few months.

Sadly i think he is going to do well with them on the pitch.
