Stats can be misleading at times. I like Mitchell and his defending is very solid. Similarly his injury record is fantastic, and this is so important as we've had next to no cover for years.I agree, I was amazed at that stat. I do wonder if it includes crosses from deep which are hardly ever as effective as cut backs from the line.
However, what the stats won't say is how many times he has failed to cross and stop and played it sideways or back. The moment he takes a touch you know the attack has died.
I think he does have a decent cross on him, my big frustration it is rarely a whipped first time effort.
I remember the 3rd goal v Villa a few years ago - first time cross with pace that JP gobbled up.
With Larsen up front we need more of these. His header v Burnley was an early cross (from Lerma) so that should be the blueprint.
