You kind of covered all bases with that comment, you go on to acknowledge Parish had been saying those same things publicly, that Pardew stated Parish had told him in the boardroom, but brush off it’s impact.

But it’s impact can’t be overstated. Any wholesale change like that, in the circumstances we were in, takes time and usually results in a dip before the payoff. Especially given that it wasn’t his own decision, surely he should have then been given some bandwidth to actually implement it in its entirety.

We had been defeated in 8 of Pardew's last 10 games in charge and we were in 17th place when he departed in December.
 
Glasner’s speech about the fans needing to “stay humble” and reminding us all that the our points tally so far is effectively “on track” for a typical Palace season, has got under my skin.
I know it’s factually correct, but having spent all his tenure stressing the importance of ambition - to now be basically saying we are where we should be so don’t aspire for better, make him look like a chump.

God knows what the players must be thinking!

Pardew's direct quote about his approach at Palace.
I doubt this was an instruction from the board and look forward to you providing evidence to the contrary .
Similarly I'm sure the board are not 'instructing' Glasner to play the system he employs or indeed instructed Hodgson to play with ten behind the ball.
The board execute the running of the club and employ the manager to manage the team.
I have never heard a manager under Parish in the Premier League claim that Parish tried to influence team selection or tactics .
Pardew was given plenty of time and was ultimately found wanting.
I think we must be one of the only clubs that would have afforded Glasner such patience given his record and attitude in the last two months.

every time Glasner talks to the media he drops another incendiary bombshell, playing another "victim card" and it's got to the point where Parish and the board have gone from showing patience and restraint to now looking very foolish and the only possible outcome can be a mutual agreement for Glasner to go Monday morning, win or loose on Sunday. Allowing him to stay any longer has the potential for a complete implosion, surely a risk the board can no longer tolerate. ....... But then again it is CPFC, so any unforeseen drama is possible!!
 
A new Manager will be paraded on the pitch before the Wolves game. He'll be in charge for the game , and the rest of the season.
He has just penned a new four year deal, and his name is Oliver Glasner. 😀

Stranger things have happened 😀 and he is not named in any of the Epstein files released.

Yes, this could be a good match for both. An international role might suit him well. Could play to his strengths and hide some of his weaknesses. Similar to Thomas Tuchel, or at least the narrative around Tuchel. It’s basically a very drawn out cup campaign. Having worked with Jeff and Daniel would hold him in good stead.

He could get more than the sum of Colombia’s parts out of them for 2-4 years. That could in theory mean going deep in two World Cup campaigns (2026 and 2030), and at least having a good crack at lifting the Copa América in 2028.

I recon they’d (Colombians) appreciate his style. Perhaps even his temperament too.

Not really a country to upset. He should think about giving them a bit of a body swerve especially if he goes there thinking he can slag them off if things aren’t going well.

I don’t think it is just the two you mention. Once a manager hits a wall and the players stop responding they cannot stop the slide and eventually end up out on their arse. I can’t think of many managers that have ever turned it around.
 
After his open criticism of the fans I would be massively surprised if he were not removed before the Wolves game. If he is still in charge he is literally going to need a tin hat coming out of that tunnel
