Glasner Out

I think the lawyers are working overtime at the moment and he'll be gone in the morning by "mutual consent".

and then selhurst will be rocking again!!
This is my thinking, his comments have literally given the lawyers ammo to pick them apart and say he has to step aside and it can handled publcially however they decide, to save face if needed.

He cannot say what he has said - isn't good enough, can't adapt the players he was happy with in jan, he'd boo himself too as a fan... he's literally making it so easy for Parish.

However - he needs to do the right thing and step aside.

I really wonder who will take him on in the summer

I agree he's made himself appear very high maintenance but would it be a big surprise if he just walked away from management completely? He's worth several million and might want an easier life.

Not sure if it would be a first for us, but Big Ange at Tottenham comes to mind. UEFA Europa League Final winners in late May last year, and left/fired in early June without overseeing another competitive fixture!
and closer to home, van Gaal: 5 minutes after United had beaten us in the FA Cup Final

I am surprised that there hasn't been more comment about OG's words today. I had thought it was a sensible plan to retain him, as his job prospects would be greatly impacted by Palace being relegated, or even surviving but remaining as poor as we have been for 3 months now.

But today's speech was really disingenuous. "I'm just not good enough to replace the players we sold. I'm just not good enough to integrate the new players in a way to play the same way like we did, and I'm not good enough that we can cope with the schedule we had." In other words it is the board's fault for selling our players (as a club like ours has to), the new players are crap, and the board didn't provide a big enough squad. The idea that he is "blaming himself" is nonsense - this is just a back-handed way of telling us it is all someone else's fault.

For me this is the moment that has changed my mind - he should go now, before the Wolves game.
My thoughts as well - after watching this presser I’ve finally moved to the Glasner out camp. The thing that tipped it for me was when he was asked “do you still want to be here” and he said “let’s see you never know”.
If you don’t want to be here then quit. Period. Full stop.

He is like a sulky child with his comments. Why would he want to tarnish his reputation and potentially relegate palace all so he can get out of this job when he could have left on a high and moved onto bigger and better things. Makes no sense to me.

If it true he said this condescending bullshit to the fan base:

"I would say the most important thing is stay humble. I think it's the same for the fans.

"Stay humble. Never forget where you're coming from. I think a few who are so critical in this situation are not humble anymore.

"Forget where you are coming from and usually in life you are punished for this." .......

then Parish and Co have to sack him after the Wolves game, if they don't, they are poor leaders, poor stewards of the club they will be found out as cowards for not taking action.

OG got the fans inside with the fa cup and after his initial out burst about players being sold and a small squad. The board this and that blah blah. But with our crap results, style of play and players downing tools to some degree, he still thinks the fans are on his side. No OG, we may follow our club like sheep but it doesn’t mean we are blind and can’t see a bad apple in the basket.
Needs to go asap.

This is projection, a classic narcissist's ploy, straight out of the manual.

It's the same as before he left Eintracht Frankfurt.
Future Developments

- Complaining at every post-match press conference.
- Favoring players whose contracts are expiring or who want to transfer.
- Not giving young players a chance.
- Making a 39-year-old player run until he urinates blood.
- Criticizing young players and reserve players in press conferences.
- Declining player motivation.
- Players claiming they are being bullied by fans and the media.
- Yelling at reporters.
- Criticizing the management for not strengthening the team.
- 99% of fans want him to resign.
- Deteriorating relationships with everyone except the main players.
- Years after his retirement, fans reminisce about him, saying, "He won trophies and was a good manager who expressed his feelings honestly."😢

Definitely. Glasner is a textbook narcissist and this is quite normal for the type of things they say; words get twisted and the true meaning of what they say needs to be deciphered, but ultimately it is never their fault and they never accept responsibility. It's hard wired into their brain, they can't change.
The mask has well and truly fallen off, and its effect on this group of players is blatantly apparent. It would also explain his falling out with others clubs. Parish should have got rid when Glasner made his announcement, some of us said so at the time, others weren't sure, but there can be absolutely no doubt now.

His latest rant on the BBC is a disgrace. His comment "I'm not good enough, but I was good enough to win the FA Cup and the Charity Shield," is a direct go at the fans. Get rid of him after the Wolves game, Europe or not.

My first wife was like that , don't think he is that bad , think more of self preservation than narcissist , trust me I've had it first hand ,
but he could be heading towards a breakdown showing all the signs , needs to go before he does breakdown for him and his family sake

Maybe he's just found a new love for Take That?

In all seriousness though, he needs to piss off, Parish should've sacked him off after the Sunderland outburst, as many fans knew.

Tomorrow is going to be very toxic indeed, maybe it's what Parish wants, to show the narcissist he ain't loved no more?
