Any whiff of relegation and parish usually pulls the trigger or gets a signing or two. Can we expect both this week?

Seriously can't wait til Forest or Brighton. We're 11 without a win and Ollie needs to be given the push now. Clearly lost the players..why would they give 100% to a manager who doesn't want to manage them? Need to pull the plug Parish. Can't be that much compensation for a few months left of his contract. Give the job to Paddy for now. Thomas Frank will be available shortly. Would even take Amorin but please not Lampard Southgate or, God forbid, Roy. Take the offer for JP too before his form dips even more. Forever grateful for the trophies and fantastic football we saw but time to steady the ship before it sinksIf we lose to Forest and Brighton he’s toast. He should be now but I’ve always said the board will wait till after the Brighton game.

That's a brilliant summary and really well written - thank you.I think there are a number of factors contributing to our rapid decline in recent months. The failure to replace Dougie earlier meant that SP was filling in that role over the summer and as a consequence we didn’t bring in players early and got caught out when Eze left.i guess that’s on SP.
Glasner’s job was to use the squad he was given to the best of his abilities. We all knew his over reliance on a small group of trusted players in our busiest season would come home to roost and it has. That’s on Glasner.
We lost key players to injury just as AFCON took away our most clinical finish er. That’s no one’s fault but could have been predicted. Given we didn’t sign sufficient cover and didn’t properly use what we had, they’re both guilty.
Our main striker has gone from being a half decent goal scorer to being sub standard for the PL. That happens but the answer is to get your head down and work hard not sulk and look for a transfer you’re not worth. That’s JP’s fault.
So you could make a case for ditching Parish as Chairman, Glasner as Coach, and JP as centre forward. In mitigation Parish has kept this club in the PL and made us more successful than ever, so for me he gets 7/10 and stays. Glasner has built a team good enough to win 2 trophies and may yet win a third, although that seems increasingly unlikely. I would have been inclined to give him a 7/10 but for the outburst after the summer window and during this one which has clearly undone the strong bond within the squad which was a key factor in our success. I have previously opined that this may be a consequence of his serious head injury as a player but that doesn’t change the reality. He’s a 5/10 and his coat is on a very shaky peg. JP is a busted flush because he’s been awful and has the cheek to believe he’s Eze or Guehi and too good for us. I don’t buy the excuse we won’t pay him enough. He’s paid a fortune and currently not earning it. 3/10 and has to go.
So all that said, what should we do? SP and our anonymous DoF need to stop p*ssing around and buy 2 strikers. Strand-Larson for experience and quality and one of the 2 younger strikers we keep being linked with. Sell JP now and see which of the new strikers plus Nketiah the new guy wants to go with in the summer.
As for Glasner, I don’t believe he isn’t trying because he’s already left in his head. He’s too driven for that and if nothing else has shown he hates failure. For me he has at best 3 games to get at least one win and preferably 2. If he does we can all relax, albeit somewhat depressed at how our season has ended and prepare for next season. If he doesn’t he has shown he doesn’t have the flexibility and managerial skills to handle a PL season despite his obvious ability as a coach so we have no choice but to sack him.
Over to you Steve.

I expect him to be gone by page 100 on this thread TBH ..I am expecting that he gets sacked today there are no rational reasons to retain his services, previously a magician but currently dropping playing cards everywhere and the rabbits are hopping around in every direction. I have a bottle waiting for his departure.

I expected a reaction to the Macclesfield debacle. Some fight, some energy. Players trying to grab games by the scruff of the neck. Fast out of the blocks at the start of games. That sort of thing.I expect him to be gone by page 100 on this thread TBH ..
No real fight or tactics in yesterday’s match , Something I was expecting from the team after all the controversy .
As they say he has lost the dressing room .
Very good, Freedman imo is a massive loss, still spent 95m this season but the quality of signings just isn't there, as for Glasner......................I think there are a number of factors contributing to our rapid decline in recent months. Also a head coach/manager who has an affinity to the club, imo is seriously underrated, especially for the short term.I expected a reaction to the Macclesfield debacle. Some fight, some energy. Players trying to grab games by the scruff of the neck. Fast out of the blocks at the start of games. That sort of thing.
Instead what I’ve seen is system, system, system. Slow, laborious play, no energy and a team that just gradually fades out of games handing easy wins to the opposition with no fight.
That as much as anything tells me OG has to go. The players looked so drilled on a system that isn’t working they’ve forgotten the basics of just playing football.
Look at Man Utd now they are free from a completely rigid system manager. Suddenly the players look full of fight, energy and skill.

It's all AI / CGI. The Mars imagery that is. And probably what Palace need to get a win...Winning a game is turning into like trying to colonise Mars. I would say it's our Everest but many have climbed that now and we look less likely to win than that, currently.

They have a few players once on our books and Paddy McCarthy's son plays for the team.I feel like I need a new challenge these days. Might go follow croydon athletic instead.

I miss being able to pop down the non league games on a Saturday. If I lived in England that's what I'd do. It's more fun, frankly.I feel like I need a new challenge these days. Might go follow croydon athletic instead.

Sounds like they would have given Macclesfield a proper gameThey have a few players once on our books and Paddy McCarthy's son plays for the team.
