Glasner Out

I was a Glasner out after the rant .
I still am after today .
The problem is who do we get in ?
The 3 at back formation is problematic now .
Look at Man U since Amorim , they are now flying.
We need the points and we need to adapt to opposition in front of us .
If that means Munoz exc ... become redundant.. so be it .
Carrick quietly going about business whilst gradually closing that door to Glasner at Old Trafford 😆

I do think sacking off Glasner is warranted, however he’s shown he can win cups, here and previously. I don’t think we win it anyway but there’s a chance so I don’t think Parish pulls the trigger. He is on borrowed time though, he’s got two games max hasn’t he?

What would you suggest, oh wise one?
Easy, Paddy and Powell to the end of the season, there is 100% they will give their all to survive and do well in the conference league, and we can be 100% certain that Glasner is playing for his 2m payoff, and 100% certain that Mateta couldn't give two s***s whether we win or lose, get a F******g grip, its not fantasy league its mans self preservation, do you even live in the real world or some fantasty world you have dreamt up in your bedroom, FFS

Is there any one on this site who thinks Glasner should be in charge against Forest.
I do, unless there is an experienced manager to come in and take the reins, not a Paddy McArthy/ Darren Powell type caretaker combination with the logic that they used to play for the club so they must be ok.
The reason I say this is that I was sitting 30 yards behind Glasner today and the players look to him throughout the game for guidance.
The sarcastic amongst you may say well it’s not exactly working and I can see the point!
What I’m clumsily saying is that he has buy in from the players , and to make a knee jerk decision throwing everything up in the air is a gamble with all the resulting confusion with no guarantee of better results.
Perversely, I’d be more confident of making the change if we were already safe as there would be less to lose.

He doesn't want to be here. If you get in that mindset then you dont go out and give 100% to the cause. You drop off, even if you dont think you have, you do. A horrible loss to Maccelsfield? It dont matter I'm off. Changing up the line up or tactics? It dont matter I'm off. Ranting about the club / Chairman, again, it dont matter im off.

This then filters down to the players.

I hear what you say but I think we are beyond all that now. It’s no longer about commitment, authority, desire etc. it’s now purely about results. We are now close to our premier league survival being on the line. If we leave the decision another two games it may be too late to arrest the awful negative momentum.

I’m not sure there is any risk in making a change. Right now no manager at all and just asking the players to make it up on the day couldn’t be getting a worse points total.

Glasner has to go this week - has lost the players & today’s substitutions were laughable.
Definitely not McCarthy to take over please. But then that would be great for Mr Parish, cheap & would guarantee a return to his beloved Championship.
His beloved championship, the place he's helped keep us out of longer than any of his predecessors

Strangely some posters here don't seem to understand this very basic aspect of human psychology.

I firmly think we should stick with OG and honour his contract.

The darkest hour is just before dawn, and I am fully confident he will turn things round.

We can still climb the table - and win the Conference.

Let’s get behind our manager - and our players.

COYP!
I salute your confidence , but I'm concerned ( that's putting it mildly)

Caretaker manager(s) is (are) not a solution IMO. While Glasner isn't commited to us for the future, unless he has signed a contract elsewhere, I think he will want to do the best he can with Palace to save his reputation. He can't get that out of this band of misfits, no one can. We need to get a couple of new heads in, loan or permanent, I don't care. We need experienced heads that aren't going to make mistakes; in defence, and up front.

We are in the January transfer window, this is the time where teams plug the holes they have in their squads to finish as strong as possible. If it's a choice between new players and a new manager, I think I'd be asking Parish to prioritise the former.

We have gone 11 games without a victory. When one considers the next 2 games, this run could extend to 13 games.
If we slide down this 'Greasy slope' further towards the relegation zone and our situation is getting somewhat perilous it is the model of plausibility that the club might conclude that a change is necessary.

If we lose to Forest and Brighton he’s toast. He should be now but I’ve always said the board will wait till after the Brighton game.

If you aren’t fully committed then you aren’t fully committed. It doesn’t matter how well you want to do performances drop off and you can’t give your best. That will definitely be picked up by the players. Another reason he simply can’t stay
