Glasner Out

If you want me to accept that you're going to have to prove it as I watched the full interview as well as his follow up interview and I did not hear him say anything even close to that.
You want him gone? Fair enough but dont start making things up to reinforce your viewpoint

This is the part of the post match interviews where he says I don't care

But I leave it to you chaps to argue about the interpretation of his words

Yes I understand that this could be interpreted as 'I dont care (if they sack me)' so I suppose I offer a part apology on that but I really dont think that was what he was saying at all. In my opinion, and trying to take a slight language barrier into account-English not being his first language I took him to mean 'I dont care (if it upsets people that I speak my mind) which to me is completely different to saying I dont care if you sack me.
But I'm willing to concede if others also are that none of us truly know what he meant.

Completely agree it is open to interpretation but I didn’t make it up. No need to apologise. All good.

For the record I wanted OG to sign a new contract but I do think his behaviour on Saturday and not making subs in the game was poor. We also can’t get away from the awful form we are in.

What I really want is for Palace to do well and win which I think we all do.

I’ll tell you what he didn’t say, he didn’t say well it’s tough at the moment, we’ve got a lot of players out, we’re still developing some of the squad, it’s hard work for the ones playing every game, but I understand the financial rules make the club sell our best players and I’ll soldier on as I’m on 90 grand a week thank you very much

I do like Simon Jordan's comments, which he is always good value in giving. I think the over-riding thing is , none of us know the private discussions between The Board and Glasner.

Was CPFC's financial Policy explained during his appointment process, and the general terms which this applied to his position ?
Was Glasner promised more (in terms of transfer money) after the FA cup win , and Europe calling ?
Was there a confidentiality agreement about his departure ?

I think Steve Parish is playing it right. Letting Glasner see out his contract is hopefully the least disruptive option.
Legal stuff is to no-one's benefit if it went to court.
I hope that by the time the final match of the season comes, the fans can applaud Glasner's work, give him a decent send-off, and hoping we have some more silverware for the cleaning lady to get busy on. 🙂 (if we haven't fooked her off too) 😀

No, fair enough you didn't and I DO apologise because I didn't read it like that at all. I now realise it could have been read that way.

I feel sure that Parish must have explained the transfer policy and the structure in which the club is run financially. It would have been massively irresponsible not to have done

And also for OG not to have asked about it quite a lot before taking the job.

Being a pragmatist, things might seem obvious, but I tend not to assume too much. And this is the leeway i give to others. Some things are glaringly obvious, especially with hindsight.
Likewise It would seem poor form , for someone with a business degree, not to ask about financial policy of their potential employer.

This may have been done, but we aren't privy to any of the good stuff 🙂

I think the point a lot of us are forgetting is that Textor was heavily involved in OG appointment. He wanted him for Lyon at one stage but he doesn't speak French. This relationship was part of decision of Textor's influence before court of arbitration.
I am sure OG was made aware of how the other owners ran club but that money would be made available but this may involve selling important players to increase liquidity.
We were looking at the CD from sporting according to rumours at time we had an agreement around 45 million euro. This fell through 3 reasons Europe debacle, Loss of Textor including repayment of his loans and Liverpool mucking about over Geuhi.
This left us to be in a situation where we needed to sell to buy. OG must have known that Liverpool certainly did hence deadline day farce and us turning Uche into loan not purchase and withdrawing from loan from spurs.
We sold Eze and brought in 2 players plus one on loan . All were young but must have been with OG knowledge and he has then been reluctant to use.
If there was a confidentiality agreement OG would be gone and SP would be taking legal action with certainty of outcome.
I think SP and board have made wrong decision in keeping OG .Unless he can rectify rift with board and almost certainly with players his position is week. It is a pity Wardy has signed for Swansea last week as he could have been part of an interim team to manage till end of season. Not as manager chief coach but as deputy as he is and was an important part of CPFC.

What exactly are we going to do when we lose the next two with the same formation and no subs? A hissy fit in the press conference? We're playing Russian Roulette Resign trigger. Just feels not worth it. What exactly is going to be different with Glasner? He seems like a guy who will change? Yes, ok. OK. This is ridiculous and the axe needed to be wielded today.
