Glasner Out

Yes, two clubs where also wasn't backed.
Glazner has his principles and I think he is right but, there are limits to how clubs of that size operate which he has already aknowledged himself.
I wonder if he's not touting himself around to the big clubs by saying this is what I can do at a small club. He knows it can't work out there which is why he only stays 2 years hoping he'll get a call from one of the bigger clubs

Let's not forget that Steve Parish has this club at Heart. We should not overspend on players and we must stick within the clubs budget. Its all about progression. Just look at Leicester and Portsmouth as an example. Glasner is bad for business and must go immediately. I appreciate everything he's done. We need someone loyal to steady this ship and my vote would be goe Garath Southgate. He loves our club and will try and bring the youngsters through( and we have some cracking talent)

Yes but we would sit back and defend a 1-0 lead for 75 mins in the Conference league final .😊

I don't understand how he is complaining about Guhei being sold before the game. It's the transfer window and there's nothing wrong with the board getting £20m now before he is free in the summer. Unless he felt the deal could have been done at the end of the month and he gets more matches out of him?
We just couldn't/ didn't take the risk in playing Guehi, or Guehi has said he wouldn't play.

Although I agree with Glasner’s point, it’s disappointing that he chose to air it publicly, as it’s made him come across as petulant. We’ve seen this recently with the managers of Chelsea, Manchester United and Celtic, all of whom were swiftly dismissed after similar public complaints. I’m naturally suspicious, and it does make me wonder whether Glasner has deliberately loaded the gun for SP to pull on Monday. As for SP and the board, they absolutely should have invested in quality signings over the summer to strengthen the squad.
Perhaps they thought they had by bringing in:
  • a young Spanish international forward
  • a seasoned international LB
  • an international Keeper
  • two promising youngsters who were playing 1st team football in La Liga & Ligue 1
They replaced:
  • Ward who was no longer PL quality
  • Edouard who'd been away on loan all year
  • Schlupp who had also been sent away to Celtic for half of the previous season
  • Holding who had been (effectively) on gardening leave
  • and our start player Eze
Unfortunately, the new arrivals haven't really worked so far. We did, on paper, strengthen the squad but not when it came to reality on the pitch.

I suspect like at other clubs, Glasner wanted to move forward more quickly than the boards of the clubs he's been at.

As for Parish. he's been in it for the long term and is happy to see the club grow gradually, and, let's face it, it has.

We fans, though, are more in tune with Glasner and wanted to see us smash through the glass ceiling of the PL as quickly as possible. It's not going to happen because it's not realistic for a club of our size to do that.

There's been a lot of heated fan emotion over the last week and it's likely to continue for a while yet.

Bye bye OG :drunk:
Ouch. I think that's torn it, hasn't it? Pretty much civil war going on behind the scenes, and Glasner quite dangerously claiming the players to his cause. It's clear that he and Parish have different visions, and those are now diverging fast. It reminds me of a beefed-up version of the spat between the board and Pulis - the manager wanting to spend the tight-fisted owners' money and being told to bog off. Here, an infinitely greater manager is doing the same, so he hasn't exactly been told to bog off; but as he says, it's about actions not words, so he effectively has.
This looks set to be the worst dismembering of a great Palace side since 1991.
