Interesting speculation on another website. Parish / club have yet to comment on Glasner's statement, why?
Perhaps they do not agree with his assessment of what has happened / when he told Parish (Oct) etc.
If that is the case and Parish is seething it would not be helpful to comment publicly until after the Sunderland game.

there is a lot of comment from people in media saying he is out of order for his timing. Even tony cascarino said he should be sacked.
I think he has gone rogue and will be sacked if we don't win either today or next week.
I want him gone now, not for results but just fed up with the 'ollie glassner show'. It seems to follow the same narrative or direction at every club he manages.

I must admit the press conference was embarrassing from a Palace point of view. I didn't like his framing of the situation at all. He presented what is a terrible week for Palace as a positive....because no doubt it isn't terrible for a pure careerist like him....what was wrong with a year extension? He could have gone at the end of the year anyway. It's kick in the teeth after kick in the teeth at the moment.....We deserve better.
It's very mercenary.....I can accept it more from players....but I accept that clubs treat managers no different.
I trust Parish to play this correctly.

I tend to agree, lots of fall out to come next week, even the possibility of OG leaving.
It does make me wonder if the Macclesfield game was the final tipping point for all sides , SP , the Board , the players and OG behind the scenes 🤔

I've slept on it. And I'm even more of the opinion to let glasner go now. He clearly doesn't want to be here (just like the players) and it's the same story with every club he has managed.
Get someone in this week who is motivated enough to give the players a kick up the back side. 3 wins to stay up in the league and try win the conference league and we take it from there.

I believe that Klopp informed Liverpool of his intention to depart in a November and informed the multitudes via the Liverpool website at the end of January.
I am under the impression that Liverpool did not sign a player in that January 'Window'.

That means the inevitable loss of the cleaning lady. She was hacked off with the FA cup and it's new cabinet, but another trophy to clean will surely see her leaving for pastures new.

After what he has said previously, I no longer believe a word he says. Sack him, get our coaches to look after the team until we decide on a new manager. Get a CH in either on loan or buy if available and replace Mateta if he goes.
Parish needs to pull his finger out on renewing contracts for those coming to an end at end of season.
If it’s cleaning trophies she hates, a quick trip down the M23 is what she needs 😂
The thing that puzzles me most is, why do we always have players running down their contracts and threatening to leave for free, which then means who sell for a lot less than their worth? Is it our initial negotiations?

Glasner never lasts anywhere, probably because he believes what he is told when he signs re commitment, investments etc etc. Bit naive from the sounds of it. This is lie moneyball. Everyone in the game is at it. Players constantly faking. Especially head injuries. FIFA set really bad examples as do UEFA. Glasner was sold a pup re players in and out I would suspect.
You can see how Glasner slides downhill and in the end it is not an endearing person.

It works both ways: if a manager is unhappy with the chairman he leaves. If a chairman is unhappy with the manager, the manager leaves (sacked).
The latter is more accepted than the former. Both the same result. Like players, good coaches know their value.

Agreed…With huge thanks and best wishes but he should go straight away.
I’m not being disrespectful, just realistic. He’s been our most successful manager in terms of silverware and I am eternally grateful but OG sticking around for the remainder of the season will not sit well with me. Put him on gardening leave, don’t pay his contract up and appoint a caretaker manager for the remainder of the season.

"Careerists" is the wrong word - they're not politicians. The football world is very competitive and many have short careers so need to maximise it as best they can. Nothing wrong with that at all. We all go for new jobs with better pay and conditions but football fans often think their managers and players should have unlimited loyalty.

I am feeling less goodwill today, as it seems that it is all just part of the Oliver Glasner show. I would put him on gardening leave and put Paddy in charge while we find a permanent replacement. Sacking him would be much too kind, I think. I expected him to leave at the end of his contract, but from what I can see he has been treading water for several months. No real excuse for all the issues with set pieces or recent results.
