What an awful 'article' - I'd steer clear of Talkshite if you want anything approaching the truth.Chelsea have apparently told OG,not to sign a new contract and it would be a surprise if he does not go to there in the Summer:

He wants a good reference.A rather more placatory and reflective Glasner shifting blame from the board.
The contrarian part of me think this means he's going.....

If Becky was still about people would have received warningsErm no don’t think you can but perhaps we can you for being foul mouthed?

Would be great if he does but if not Europe has a few who might come bearing in mind our top 15 will compete with most sides. It looks more and more likely Brennan Johnson will be a Palace player. So seeing as a lot of people think if he doesn’t sign OG, is going ,does it mean he will be staying if this transfer is completed?

He’s given an interview saying he was at fault in the summer for insisting on a small squad as he didn’t appreciate that contact injuries were more common in the PL and there’s no winter break for the players. Maybe he’s realising he’s got a decent project here.In a word - no.
As I see it:
- Glasner seems a decent person and if he says he's still in talks with the board then he hasn't made up his mind yet but is open to staying if the talks go well.
- He seems genuinely delighted with the attitude and commitment of the squad. In other words, he recognises he has a rare group of players.
- Whilst the signing of Johnsin can only be a positive, it's not enough to tip the scales. It's not simply about players but about the board's ambitions for the club.
All good points, but what I was getting at wasn’t if Johnson signing convinced OG to stay.In a word - no.

If Glasner hasn't told the club he's staying, I can't see him saying anything to Johnson about his own future at Palace. What he might have said is that the club has decided that we will continue to be a counter-attacking team whoever the manager is and that Johnson has the appropriate skills to fit whichever such system any future manager may use. Our Academy teams now play the same system as the 1st team. All good points, but what I was getting at wasn’t if Johnson signing convinced OG to stay.
It was by signing did Johnson consider OG to be his manager for a year or two, meaning OG would stay?

If you watch his half hour documentary on Sky, everyone who talks about him says he is ambitious and that he hasn’t stayed long in his various roles.he's not going to Chelsea - Spurs, Liverpool, Man U or Bayern possibly, but one thing Ollie ain't is stupid, and he's not desperate nor greedy, and he's not going to be bossed around by those muppets. And if we get one or two more in, and actually start building work on the new stand, bcos I think the new stand is emblematic of how we see ourselves progressing as a club, then don't write off him staying here, but that is contingent on the quality of leadership at the club, which he clearly feels has sagged a bit with regards to transfer dealings (and stadium development I would venture).

I would be amazed if he goes to Chelsea. Despite the undoubted massive pay rise it’s a poisoned chalice of a job alongside the Manure gig.Glasner is being very clever in taking his share of the blame, I doubt this climbdown would have happened if Johnson hadn't arrived. If we get one or two more in key areas and our form starts to pick up, which it will esp when the injured return, then don't yet write him off as definitely going, there's more chance of him staying here than going to Chelsea I would say.

Is there a better project out there? If you watch his half hour documentary on Sky, everyone who talks about him says he is ambitious and that he hasn’t stayed long in his various roles.
My view on whether he stays or not is quite simply based on whether he gets offered a project that is more enticing than the one he currently has. I don’t think he’ll think twice about leaving if it does come along.

What you say is all very plausible, and may well prove to be right. In most cases I would expect Johnson to be concerned about who would be his manager in the next year or so. Frank ,will always be a lesson in his life. Maybe it is Parish, that sold the club to him, as I feel a departing manager would not have that effect. If Glasner hasn't told the club he's staying, I can't see him saying anything to Johnson about his own future at Palace.
