Glasner Out

I think the opposite - I think people are incredibly hysterical about how 'bad' we are.
With respect I do not believe there is mass 'Hysteria'.
Supporters have come to the stark realisation that we are in a perilous position and such views have also permeated into the media.
We have plummeted down the table like a skier on the piste. We have not won in 11 games and only collected 8 pts from our last 10 games. Captain has departed, manager has announced that he has no desire to be at the club next season and our top scorer has only scored 1 goal from 'Open Play' in his last 17 games.
None of our summer purchases has made a significant impact whatsoever.
W.Ham have won their last 2 games and Nottm Forest have won 2 of their last 3 PL games.
Our home form this season has been abysmal.
Today in conversation with a journalist I used the words "Perfect storm" he responded with "Deadly cocktail'.
We are in the'Merde'.

I don't think we are in a particularly perilous position.

Despite our horrendous form we have picked up 8 points from 10 games, so 0.8 points per game - that current 'run rate' would see us finish on 40 points.

I'm very confident performances and results will improve over the coming weeks, but even if they don't, our current trajectory is not really to relegation - we'd have to get even worse, and West Ham get considerably better.

We're as close to 6th as we are to 18th.

Ok. We’ve taken two points from 24 in the league, lost to a non league team in the cup and couldn’t beat a team who play in the Finish league.

If that isn’t bad and us in crisis then I don’t know what is.

We were talking about performances, which I don't think are anywhere near as disastrous and is being made out, barring a few exceptions.

That haunts me at the moment.

I wholeheartedly respect your opinion.
Whereas my brow is corrugated with worries you are sanguine about our prospects.
We are a 'Broadchurch' on HOL with a common creed and the smorgasbord of opinions adds to its rich tapestry.

Fair enough. I wish I shared your optimism.

I think our performers have been awful. We haven’t looked like winning any of the last 11. It’s not like we conceded last minute goals or lost a 4-3 thriller.

In the last 11 we’ve conceded 21 goals and scored 8. We haven’t scored more than a single goal in a game since KuPS. That’s dreadful form and performances for me but I respect your opinion

My take on it is -
Glasner should be gone now - he is leaving anyway.
Our home form is relegation form and as Willo said - we have only taken 8 points from our last ten games - or two points from our last 8 games!!!!!!!!!
We are heading down not up right now, albeit a couple of wins would steady the ship.
Matateta - I would sell him today to whoever wants him - he doesn't want to be here either and he is injured, slow, has stopped taking the chance to get on a cross etc and he is getting old for a big man up front.
Wharton might want to go but he still has a long contract I believe - so he can stay!
We need people who GET IT - not people who want to jump ship.

I’m reminded of the old adage that players win games, teams win cups, but squads win leagues. Glasner built a team capable of winning the FA cup but at the expense of a squad capable of doing well in the league. We can debate whether that’s Parish’s fault for selling class and buying rubbish or Glasner’s fault for not trusting and playing any of them. The depressing reality is that we’re now where I thought there was no chance we’d be this season- back in the relegation battle.
The team Glasner built is struggling badly and another cup this season seems unlikely barring a dramatic turnaround. We seem incapable of keeping a clean sheet which was one of our strengths. The back 3 were struggling before Guehi left and even our keeper has lost the form he had earlier in the season. If we are to escape it won’t be by drawing games as Roy was able to. Glasner doesn’t play to draw. It will come down to individuals winning us the odd game here and there. I hope it’s Mateta returning to form but I’m more confident that Sarr and Munoz will be our saviours. A win against Forest would be a good start.

And there in lies the problem. OG can’t and won’t adapt to the situation. If he had I am sure we would have more points. Maybe not 12 more but maybe 4 or 5 more. If we’d have done that we wouldn’t be worrying about relegation. Frankly he’s failed to do what he’s paid for in recent weeks and that’s to find a way to get results

Are you, serious, if we don't get that clown out, we are down, Vieira was sacked with 12 games left, we have 15 left.

12th and now 15th, a lucky cup win. brilliant.

Our first ever cup win alongside the highest points tally we’ve achieved in the Prem - objectively the most successful season we’ve ever had.

After guiding Wolfsburg into the Champions League for the first time in almost a decade and guiding Frankfurt to a first European trophy since 1980.

Clearly the CV of a terrible manager.
