Glasner first to be sacked this season.

Rubbish, the theory that no fan knows what they are talking about is insulting and wide of the mark. an Antiques expert knows all about a fine piece of furniture, doesn't mean he made it.

What’s Rubbish? 😂

The fact that Forest have their own collection of armchair experts (just like we do) who think they could do a better job than Glasner?

Or that he’s our most successful manager ever with 3 major trophies in 2 seasons, for a club having previously won none?

Or perhaps the fact that the bloke with the UEFA coaching qualifications with years of experience and hundreds of games managing teams in the Bundesliga and Premier League, getting paid £13M a year, knows what he’s doing, more so than a few wannabes on a Fans Forum???

Sorry, which bit of what I said was rubbish?

The bit that is your opinion of all fans are as thick as you think, a UEFA coaching badge doesn't make you a manager, anyone can pay to take it, it is a piece of paper that qualifies you to coach, that doesn't mean that you are not as thick as a brick, Joey Barton is a good example, so don't give me that crap about everyone with a coaching badge is high almighty, and always know best, take your blinkers off, because they don't.

It’s no surprise that Forest have got their own Forum experts who believe they can do a far better job than Glasner, just like we have.

I don’t much care for how Forest get on with him (hopefully very badly) but I am grateful for the success that he brought our club. Three trophies in two seasons is unheard of for us and he also did well at Wolfsburg & Frankfurt. He clearly knows what he’s doing, far more so than a few armchair experts on a fans forum.

Ultimately winning matches and trophies is what every manager gets judged on and so Glasner is clearly a very good manager.
However, he didn't win those trophies, the players did. Yes he signed some, trained them and set up the formations etc. However, don't forget the element of luck that is required to win a cup - the favourable draws, the lack of injuries, the moments of brilliance (Eze, step forward in the Q/final, semi and final), moments of the game that go your way - Wharton could have been sent off v Fulham at 0.0, Hendo in the final etc.

I'm not saying that Glasner does not deserve a massive amount of credit for this, but feel other factors were at play too.

But let's be honest the football was pretty poor last season overall, we struggled to score and won 4 home games all season. The conf league masked a team in slow decline. Glasner continued playing the same formation regardless of opposition and results, even when we went down to 10, or when the opposition did so. Even Amorin has realised that one system doesn't always work.

In terms of his current situation there are a few things that i could have predicted (without having UEFA coaching qualifications)

1. if he played the same formation as at Palace his team would perform better away from home than at home - tick
2. if things weren't going his way (a couple of unlucky VAR decisions in home games) he would dumb down on the formation and refuse to change - no plan B - tick
3. He will do ok if his best X1 are available, he will struggle when players are injured - time will tell (not being in Europe will help him)
4. He will demand patience, which is understandable, but has the most impatience chairman/owner in the world - surely a recipe for disaster

Glasner is currently the joint 4th highest paid manager in the world. Forest are paying him more than City, PSG, Real Madrid, etc which won't help Mary's itchy trigger finger.

Unbelievable, he really is the Emperors new clothes, i will give it to Glasner, he must talk a wonderful game, a great feat and applause for pulling Mary Knickers down.

Thank you for the clarification.

For the record I didn’t say or even imply that all fans are thick or that everyone with a coaching badge is high almighty.

In my post I stated that ‘Glasner knows what he is doing, more so than a few armchair experts on a fans forum’.

With respect, I believe you started a thread calling for Glasner to be sacked because he didn’t know what he was doing, this was of course before he won The FA Cup, The Charity Shield & The UEFA Conference League with us, our first and only ever major trophies. I think the facts speak for themselves.

I am certainly no Glasner fanboy and I was not impressed with how he conducted himself following the Sunderland defeat and the weeks that followed it but to belittle his ability, experience and achievements in the way that you repeatedly try to is disingenuous, as was the misrepresentation of my comments.

The thought that Glasner doesn't know what he is doing is a ludicrous statement.

He does however play pretty safety first and boring football. And is completely and utterly wedded to a system and way of playing.

He's both good and boring. Essentially a modern day Roy.

He doesn't know what he is doing, if he did he would adapt his team accordingly, but he plays the same way every minute of every game against every type of opposition, home or away, the only time it ever works is if his team play away to a team that are attacking them, fact, that makes him not know what he is doing, because he cant get the best out of the players he has, thank god Forest have the problem, not us, 4 home games no goals, pitiful.

From the Forest fans forum yesterday, their fans seem to be learning fast.

His sheer stubbornness with this system could be his downfall. Three centre backs against a team that hadn't scored a goal...🤦‍♂️
I don’t understand how we can look so good against Villa in the second half last week and then lose to an absolutely awful Coventry side. The fact that he seemingly never beats the s*** teams is worrying, he’s earning a few hundred grand a week so I’d like to think he can work it out. I’m obviously fully behind the bloke as he’s shown he’s a good manager but today was embarrassing.Perhaps he needs to have a back up formation against the likes of Coventry as it seems his preferred formation is perfect for the top sides but crap against the bottom feeders.
I'm not a football manager but I feel like we'd actually benefit more from having two different set-ups depending on the kind of teams we face If a team is likely to have more of the ball than us, we go with the customary 3-4-2-1 formation. It seemed to work against Liverpool, Spurs and Villa, all of whom would be expected to have more of the ball.If a team is likely to have less of the ball than us, like Leeds or Coventry, go with the previous 4-2-3-1. Because not only do you have your defenders set against teams looking to low block and counter, you have players wide and through the middle.
The real worry today for me was that OG seemed unable to see that his system wasn't working and therefore he needed to change it. VP was very good at in-game management. OG needs to get better,
Subs were far too late.

God just let it go 🤣

Trawling other club's forums just to try and feel vindicated... 'kin hell.

Correct - he's a system manager. Lots of them out there and many of them doing it very successfully, including Glasner.

As with any manager and any approach, criticism is fine, but the insistence that he's 'terrible' and 'clueless' by someone with a slightly odd obsession is clearly just bollocks.

Is there a manager in world football who's won more with less over the last decade than Glasner..? Maybe Emery or Gasperini, but it's not a long list.

Never tell me what i can post or not post, i know the sun shines out of his back side for you, but he doesn't out of mine,

Post what you want, but you're coming across as just a little bit obsessed at this point.

He's the most successful manager we've ever had, helping to deliver some of the best footballing memories of my life, including at Wembley and in Leipzig. Nothing you find on a Nottingham Forest forum is going to change that. Is he perfect? certainly not, but nor is he terrible, and the relentless insisting that he is despite all of the evidence to the contrary just makes you look bitter.

You have wasted the most successful years of our history relentlessly insisting that the manager is awful and trying to prove yourself right on a forum, and even now you have your wish and he's gone, you continue with the campaign.

It's a very, very odd way to approach 'supporting' a football club.

You lost the argument - you relentlessly told everyone he's an awful manager who was destined to fail, and yet he delivered more success than anyone before him. You were wrong. Just own it with some class and move on.
