The fact that Forest have their own collection of armchair experts (just like we do) who think they could do a better job than Glasner?


Or that he’s our most successful manager ever with 3 major trophies in 2 seasons, for a club having previously won none?


Or perhaps the fact that the bloke with the UEFA coaching qualifications with years of experience and hundreds of games managing teams in the Bundesliga and Premier League, getting paid £13M a year, knows what he’s doing, more so than a few wannabes on a Fans Forum???

The bit that is your opinion of all fans are as thick as you think, a UEFA coaching badge doesn't make you a manager, anyone can pay to take it, it is a piece of paper that qualifies you to coach, that doesn't mean that you are not as thick as a brick, Joey Barton is a good example, so don't give me that crap about everyone with a coaching badge is high almighty, and always know best, take your blinkers off, because they don't.

I don’t much care for how Forest get on with him (hopefully very badly) but I am grateful for the success that he brought our club. Ultimately winning matches and trophies is what every manager gets judged on and so Glasner is clearly a very good manager.
However, he didn't win those trophies, the players did. Yes he signed some, trained them and set up the formations etc. However, don't forget the element of luck that is required to win a cup - the favourable draws, the lack of injuries, the moments of brilliance (Eze, step forward in the Q/final, semi and final), moments of the game that go your way - Wharton could have been sent off v Fulham at 0.0, Hendo in the final etc.

I'm not saying that Glasner does not deserve a massive amount of credit for this, but feel other factors were at play too.

But let's be honest the football was pretty poor last season overall, we struggled to score and won 4 home games all season. The conf league masked a team in slow decline. Glasner continued playing the same formation regardless of opposition and results, even when we went down to 10, or when the opposition did so. Even Amorin has realised that one system doesn't always work.

In terms of his current situation there are a few things that i could have predicted (without having UEFA coaching qualifications)

1. if he played the same formation as at Palace his team would perform better away from home than at home - tick
2. if things weren't going his way (a couple of unlucky VAR decisions in home games) he would dumb down on the formation and refuse to change - no plan B - tick
3. He will do ok if his best X1 are available, he will struggle when players are injured - time will tell (not being in Europe will help him)
4. He will demand patience, which is understandable, but has the most impatience chairman/owner in the world - surely a recipe for disaster

Unbelievable, he really is the Emperors new clothes, i will give it to Glasner, he must talk a wonderful game, a great feat and applause for pulling Mary Knickers down.
